Jaguar Fan Cheers

I was thinking the other day that Jaguar fans really need to come up with some better cheers.  For some reason the "Move those chains, move those chains, move those chains, move 'em" chant has become the signiture cheer at Jaguar games.  The first time I heard that at the stadium I laughed out loud.  Just kinda stupid in my opinion.  Anyways, I thought people here at big cat country might have some better, more creative suggestions for a stadium wide cheer.  For starters, I think we could do a variation of the Florida State chant (even though it pains me to copy anything that is Florida State).  Instead of spelling out the letters of Florida State, we could instead chant, J-A-C-K-S-O-N ...V-I-L-L-E, Jacksonville, Jacksonville, Jacksonville....JAGUARS! Say it out loud, it works baby! Any thoughts? Am I just being rediclous? Anything else you guys could come up with?

I'm hoping the Mike P. chant of " Duval"...

will overtake all chants. It is simple, to the point and ‘menacingly’ loud when in unison.
Jacksonville is all of Duval county. Soon, the rest of the NFL will be saying, " Man, I hate playing in Jacksonville, that damn ’ D U V A L ’ is so loud".

I think the game day atmosphere is suffering some now.....

Yesterday, they didn’t even post other NFL games scores on the scoreboard until the 4th quarter or so. No decent half time shows. I am not expecting to be greatly entertained at half-time, but the Roar doing a song is nothing different (they are very hot though). And fireworks in the day time aren’t the greatest of ideas.

The D-line is just kind of annoying to me. Find a song that gets the crowd and the team a little fired up. Drums and cymbals aren’t really working.

Another thing, Mr. Weaver…You own Shoe Carnival. If a guy makes a field goal, how ’bout a hundred bucks?

I know these are silly knit-picky things, but have a lot of venting to do.

Go Jags!

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
