Yeah, I'm working again. Only two more Sundays till I'm through this election, so you'll have your full-time Jaguars Blogger back again. Anyhow, this is our Open Thread for the Browns-Jaguars game.

I mean, when this kind of plays repeat so many times, its not only a blew assignment……..
Every game we give up huge yards on important 3rd and 4th down plays…….
3and15 vs Titans, we get burned by their TE for over 50 yds Drive ends in TD
3and5 vs Bills we get burned by Evans for over 35 yds drive ends in TD
4and2 vs the Colts we get burned for over 20 yds by Wayne drive ends in TD
3and9 vs the texans Slaton for 30 yds n TD
3and8 vs the Steelers, 18 yds to Hines Ward drive ends in TD
I mean, Offense is simply great……. gave all but once a 4Q lead and we still have 3 losses………

Just when you thought this season couldn’t get any more frustrating….well it just does. I just don’t understand this team, why can’t we have defense for more than one quarter? How can we let the BROWNS beat us at home and why am I not at all surprised? Losing close games that shouldn’t be close, that is Jaguar football.
We could point fingers
at a lot of different players but it dont change the out come. We are in a hole now. I hope we dig ourselves back out.
Season
Wow what a bitter pill to swallow.. However, I am not going to start saying our season is over after week 8. I will say that our division chances are pretty much over, but we still have a great chance to get a wildcard spot. Without Tom Brady in the league, the AFC really is wide open. Ahead of us, for the wildcard, are the Jets, Patriots, Colts, and Ravens. Hopefully we can get 2 more wins out of our next two games, but what we thought were gimmes aren’t, so we cannot say that.
Observations
Positives
- Matt Jones is turning into a star receiver. Had he held onto that ball at the end of the game, he would be the new breakout star in the NFL. He would have had 143 yards, 9 receptions, and 2 TD’s as opposed to his 118, 8 rec, 1 TD.
- Garrard is showing us that he is THE MAN. He is willing to do whatever it takes to for our team to win. That didnt happen today, but he looked amazing. I have plenty of confidence with him, and his relationship with Matt Jones looks like its blossoming.
- Our second half defense.
Negatives
- Our first half defense
- Special teams. we had a blocked field goal, fumble on a kickoff, and we really didnt have any explosive returns.
- Quentin Groves 2 critical offsides..
