Most Memorable Jags Games Ever??

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the site but love what I see so far and can't wait to get more involved.

A question for you though- If you were to think back over the past years of Jaguars football, which individual games stick out most in your minds?  Things like huge comebacks, miraculous wins, crazy things that happened in the stands, blunder type games (Leon Lett type things)?

Thanks guys!!  Just trying to get some insight into what makes the Jags so special to so many of us!!

The Saints game

When John Carney missed the extra point after the miracle last play. I know it wasn’t exactly a shining moment for the Jaguars but when it comes to memorable, that one definitely comes to mind. Also the bottle fiasco against Cleveland.

Mile High 96' playoffs

I was only 8 years old but you bet I was going nuts! Also the falcons game that took us to the playoffs. I was there to.

The 96' Denver game...

sealed my allegance as a fan. Visions of a stumblin-rumblin Brunnel stick in my head. The Saints game was fun because I was working in NOLA at the time. I would have to put the Pittsburgh play off game last year up there too even though a win versus NE the next week was very improbable.

I was in 3rd grade

And I was there when Morten Anderson missed the kick that sent us to the playoffs in 96.

99' Playoffs: Divisional Round

I remember the 62-7 shlacking of the Miami Dolphins in what would be the end of both Dan Marino and Jimmy Johnson’s careers. I’d never seen an NFL game that lopsided and thought at the time that the Jags were on an unstoppable Super Bowl run.

Another one more recently has to be the 05’ game against the Steelers that went to OT, in which Rashean Mathis picked off Tommy Maddox and ran it back for the game winning TD.

1996.

Missed Chip Shot field goal by Morten Anderson and the Falcons sends the Jaguars to the Playoffs. I remember the stadium being in stunned silence after the kick. I remember the sudden roar as we realized what just happened.

No matter how far the Jaguars go, I will remember this moment more than anything else.

I'm gonna' reflect on the most memorable Jag game...

It was a cool afternoon on that field in Cincinnati, November of ‘08. I remember it like it was an hour ago. It is most memorable because I thought I was watching a replay of the Saints under Archie Manning. Totally ridiculous play calling followed by atrocious all around play lead to a 21 to 19 egglaying by the Jaguars. I would go on but I’m feeling nauseous.

acctually, I have only been present for 3 of our losses (the home ones)...

so thank you for pointing out… it could be worse. My nausea could be ‘serious illness’.

P.S. Sorry, about you having to walk the halls in Cincy. Keep your chin up, all true fans do.

uhhhhh

i cant remember the date… but it was a monday night game, i think, against the Dolphins… i remember tony boselli taunting jason taylor in between the 3rd and 4th quarters by constantly waving him to " C’mon! " down to the other end of the field for more ass kicking… so i guess it was a good number of years ago since tony boselli was playing… geez, i wish we had more players like him on the O-line!

Hello Everyone (my first post)

I’ve been a diehard fan of the Jags since the beginning of the team when I was 10 yrs old. I remember deciding that I needed a new favorite team because I was sick of rooting for the always losing Bengals (yes I liked the Bungles, I honestly don’t remember why I liked them, I haven’t liked them since and especially despise them right now). Anyway, I decided I would root for this new Florida team to spite my dad who is a Florida-raised Dolphin fanatic.

So, in 99, when the jags were to face the dolphins in the playoffs, with the dolphins not looking so hot, and the jags looking unstoppable (to anyone who wasn’t the titans), I was pumped. But I never expected a 62-7 blowout.

That’s not only my most memorable jags game, that’s one of my life’s best memories. I love my dad, but it was sooo great to watch that with him, talking smack the entire time. Can you even imagine the jags doing that now? Even last season I couldn’t imagine a team like the patriots doing that to anyone in the playoffs.
