Phillip Merling of Auburn will have a lot at stake on Thursday. Merling, considered by some to be the Jaguars target at pick 26, but will probably be long off the board by the time the Jaguars pick.
The best shot for Merling to wear Teal would be for the Vikings to trade for Jared Allen, and somehow 10 teams skip over Merling for other needs. Perhaps Washington or Tennessee will be enamored by Calais Campbell and let the better Merling drift backwards.
