"I spoke with Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio, who said Tuesday that the club has never even discussed the possibility of bringing in Sheppard, a Jacksonville native. In fact, Del Rio said he spoke with Philadelphia coach Andy Reid over the weekend during the NFL draft and "Lito's name wasn't mentioned."

why would he say anything else?
This could just be subterfuge on JDR’s part… What I mean is he may not want to let others know the Jags are interested so that he doesn’t end up in a bidding war with another team for Lito’s services. Dude can play, but we gotta cherish our draft picks.

Yeah, this story makes very little sense to me. I’m actually relieved that we’re not actually looking into acquiring Lito, even if he is a Gator.
