When will we learn as fans that the Jags are not a right but a privilege
Having a NFL team in your city is a status symbol. More so then anything, the cities that have a NFL team are sure to get there city names advertised throughout the nation because of the year around coverage. Having your NFL team play well is a bonus, from all the pro bowl player to the playoff games, people who mention these aspect will have to say Jacksonville Jaguar, giving the city more notoriety. In my opinion, there are 5 things into which people will notice your city. In no particular order 1. Sport franchises 2. Vibrant downtown 3. Location 4. Attractions 5. Special events. Jacksonville already has 2 out of the 5, some might say 3. We have the Jags and a great location in which offers us great weather, and great beaches. The downtown will come just like San Diego's and Tampa's did after there super bowls. We have great vacation sites for the rich, Ponte Vedra\St. Augustine and the for the nature lovers, Okefenokee swamp.
Now comes my point, for those of us that are not native to Jacksonville (I hail from Orlando) the Jaguars are at the top of this list. So why are the locals taking this for granted? I love Wayne like the next person but first and for most he is a business person. Its only going to be a matter of time before the straw breaks the Jaguars back. Now we are doing really well in ticket sales (compared to other seasons) we are only 4,000 season tickets away from having no black outs. Thats pretty good and we still have a lot of time left. But I want to see waiting lists, I want to see people purchasing the seats. The more the team stays hear the more the Jags will stay, every year is another foot deep into the minds of people in Jacksonville. The common theme is the economy is down. I just think its another excuse, one moment its to hot, the other it cost to much for a beer, now its the economy. I see it as the Jags were already the cheapest in the NFL so the economy crunch shouldn't hurt the people who live and breath the Jags (my family and my friends). People make priorities and it just so happens the Jaguars are a priority for me. There is nothing like seeing a game live. The stadium smell of hot dogs and beer, getting a tan in the fall of all seasons, Jacksonville Municipal Stadium is my church. I just hope people start seeing this the way I do. Gods gift to Jacksonville.

I Hear you
I learned of this program today:
They are taking donations and are buying up tickets to donate to underprivledged kids. Fill the stadium and do some good !!
I am with you. Pay homage at the alter of Del Rio !!! I live for it (and fly in from Michigan for it).
Go Jags !!!
Michigan huh?
What’s your take on Henne in Miami, do you think he’ll succeed? Be sure to sign the Exiled Jags fan post too.
Welcome to BCC Bro, and keep on posting!

Michigan
Dude, I started that post. I don’t know the first thing about Michigan sports except the fact that I care less. I fly the Florida State flag, and the Jags flag on my house. I personally protest the fact that I have to live here whenever possible. I am a Floridian and always will be.
I think Henne was a good pick for them though and should not be rushed to start.
Go Jags !!!
Go Noles!
Remind me to tell you about my experience with the 1993 Seminoles sometime!

What a conundrum
Sometimes I wish the Jacksonville Jaguars became the LA Jaguars. Doesn’t sound quite as good to be honest, but then I could see Jaguar games live, regularly. (I live in the LA area) However the problem is for the move to happen people would need to stop buying tickets. And for that to happen the team would need to lose. I’d rather them win, but damn!
La La La La
I’m pretending to not hear any of this!

Tell Ewdtrey
To get off the site with that post. Go watch the Chargers !!! Go are in the most fickle pro sports market in the US. You have already lost two teams.
One thing I have to say to you….........GO CELTICS !!!!!!!
Go Jags !!!
This is where I have trouble....
I’ve got this horrible anti-Boston bias from years of being around Patriots and Red Sox fans. I’ve got no beef with the Celtics other than their association with Boston and their other sports teams. I DO like Kevin Garnett, who deserves a chance at a title after a great career and I DON’T like the way Kobe has acted over the last several years.
So do I throw aside my Boston Bias and root for the Celtics? I know it’s silly, but rooting interest is important to me.

I say go Celtics too
Calm down now. Just because I live in LA doesn’t mean you should group me with everyone else. The last time LA had an NFL team I wasn’t old enough to work.
Sensitive Subject
We’re all scared of a relocation.

Love your team
I can tell you from over 20 years in the Army I have lived in lots of cities with teams (Dallas, Tampa, Seattle, now Jacksonville) and lots more without teams and you have to support your team. I have adopted every team that I have lived near. I plan on this being my last stop. I will retire from the Army soon and stay in this area so I am going to support the Jags and put my beloved Cowboys to second (I have rooted for the Cowboys since the 1971 season).
Having an NFL team was a requirement for me to retire in that city so for me without a team i would not be planning on staying here and I am sure there are many others who move/stay/live here for the team.
