Unsure how to feel
i understand that players are busy but why is it
after practice the players (most) of them didn’t sign
Autographs? I understand they are working hard (1 hr)
but we came out to see them support them and get
autographs. Myself , and kids were right up against the
white fence and most of them didn’t even look at us.
MJD looked left and right and shook his head and said
no. Matt Jones who in my opinion should have greeted
everyone (public opinion) snubbed us. This is my second
time being snubbed from Rasheem Mathis, who’s jersey I
just so happen to be wearing proudly . This was sat
morning. Please help me figure out why I should keep
buying season tickets (4th year) for a team that wont
give the fans the time of day. For a team struggling for an identity they sure showd
alot of fans sat morning what we mean to them.

Easy Easy Easy...
Players should be signing autographs… I agree, but you have to understand that some of these guys are beat.
I went to a preseason away game once all painted up, got front row tickets, the jags kicked ass and the wife and I were screaming for Freddy T to come over and autograph after the game. He looked at us and just went into the tunnel. That’s what makes autographs so special…. they’re hard to get. Kepp going to practices and you’ll get some signings.. I guarentee it. Just don’t feel like they personally slighted you if they don’t sign something. It’s NEVER personal.

p.s. I still love Fred and still go to games even though he didn’t sign my autograph because the JAGS are as much my team as they are his… same for you. The Jags are YOUR team, so I understand the feelings you’re experiencing, Hang in there!

Wow. I had a totally different experience...
I sure am sorry for how your autograph day went but when I went to the downtown draft party and the first open OTA practice this year and, man, I got more autograph than I knew what to do with. I want to keep them all, ofcourse, but when I got home from both outings, my girlfriend jokingly said “now we can’t wear any of our jerseys” because I had signatures on most of them. A few players to mention that were especially generous were MJD, Garrard, and Tony Pashos. I don’t think Garrard missed an autograph at OTA’s, and this is the 3rd best QB from 2007. I even got a signature from Coach JDR and Wayne Wever, both were especially friendly. Not sure why they werent as friendly on your day, but they were great on mine. I wish you would have been at that draft party. There were not too many fans toward the end and Tony Pashos spoke to me and even joked around with my 4 year old son for a little bit. I have met a few NFL players before, but these Jags guys have been, by far, the nicest, most fan friendly I have ever seen.

It's never personal
Ever have a stressful, either physically or mentally, day at work? One of those days where all you want is a beer, or a shower, or just to sit in the AC for a few minutes? These guys are working hard out there. And at the beginning of camp, probably are wore slap out when practice is over. If they stop for one, they have to start signing for everyone or others feel snubbed. Catch them when the shower isn’t all that’s on their minds and I’m sure you’ll see different guys. You can’t take it personal….
Now if they say, “Holy crap you’re ugly! I’m not signing anything for you.” Then take it personal ;-) Just kidding of course.
