k, that's it for me.  i'm gonna see how much you liked this and think about what i can do to keep up with the plays faster before i do another half (or another game).

My final thoughts about the game?  i'm not all that smart, i can just type fast, but if you really want some color commentary out of me:

*Jones was a winner tonight.  He looked more than safe, he looked like he's got a spot in the top 3 if walker isn't ready.

*Starting O-line was inconsistant, both for run-blocking and pass-blocking.  Like they always are early.  Hopefully they firm it up for TEN.

*Our defense played solidly.  I have no complaints.  If Harvey turns out to be a significant upgrade to that front 4, we may not need to blitz that much.

*I wish Walker caught everything thrown at him.  OK performance though. 

*Williamson did ok, but was it enough?

*Garrard: i'm hoping that he's just playing a little loose because it's pre-season.  in each of the games i've seen he's been making some throws that he didn't make last year.  His receiving corps is upgraded, he doesn't need to do better than last year, just perform at the same level and they'll do the rest.  They'll hang onto more balls and get open more often.  Don't go crazy on me, David.

I'm unimpressed with the pressure we're getting on brennan.  Groves was fast around the edge but got pushed into the dirt and went sprawling.

Short pass, used the ref to shield himself from Ingram who maybe could've come up a little earlier when he saw Mason come up through the middle.  Fudge had to come up from deep coverage.

Drew Miller let him through almost untouched.   Just whiffed.

K, o-line pushed them around on that one.  Washington had nice vision; saw the hole, made some nice cuts.  29 yards is great, alhtoght Fred would've taken it to the house.

Walker hung onto a short slant pass even though a defender had a hand in there.

Okay, he showed some speed there.  Didn't get to top gear as fast as witherspoon, but he's got some speed.  had a sudden stop when he hit those white jerseys, too.  heh.

squeaked it in along the right upright.

faked the run to one side and boot-legged out to the other.  Wiiide open receiver.  Witherspoon and Grant bit on that play completely.  that's why they're not first string.

Hey, he caught a ball with pads on!  Got good separation on a little hook route.

Maurice Williams is down!!  he was blocking for the run and washington and his tacklers hit him from behind and rolled up the knee.  i don't know how serious it is, but williams is off the field now and doesn't look happy.
