Times Union Video...

I was watching a pre/post game video of various fans on the Times Union website from this Sunday's game and I have to admit there was something that was said on there by a fan that completely took me by surprise. I am not as internet savy as some, so I can't link the site, but I'm sure most of you are already aware of the Ultimate Jaguars page on the internet. Go on there and listen to what some of these adults say after the game, but pay particular attention to the last comment made by a young boy. To sum it up for you he basically said, "Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, oh well!" I was stunned at first, but more because he is absolutely right.

I am through worrying about this team and letting them dictate how my emotional state is from week to week based on win or lose. I have taken football way too seriously lately and to be honest, when a 7 or 8 year old has to put it into perspective for me, it is quite sad. Let's take a step back this week and just enjoy the fact that we have a team here in Jacksonville that we can all enjoy. I would take the Jaguars going 0-16 each week rather than not having a team and we should just enjoy them. In retrospect, it was a rather fun game as we both went back and forth. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. What are you gonna do?

that's absolutely the right attitude at this point

I thought that the we played the bills tight in the 2nd half of that game. they beat us and that’s that. The 7 year old had it right! Bar none! Your either gonna win or your gonna lose, you can’t win them all. Disappointed? Yes! However, you move on and look towards next week and enjoy seeing your team compete. Does anyone think that the players think anything other than that? I guarantee that they do! They have already put this lose behind them and are already preparing for Indy this week. GO JAGS!!!

Good 'fanpost'...

you are 100% right. I use to cheer for a team that won many titles. Their fair weather fans dissappeared in the lean years, yet we stood strong. It is tough, …. but that is what a REAL fan does.
