WR issue
I see the Jags have just re-signed Chris Naeole to boost the Offensive Line, but what I still don't understand is why they haven't looked into signing a veteran WR who can provide some leadership and experience for the young recievers on the team? I mean there are guys like Terry Glenn, Joe Horn, Eric Moulds, and Keenan McCardell out there who I'm sure would bite at a low ball offer and could provide the position with some needed help. It would be rather low risk with potential reward for the Jags and would provide Garrard with someone not named Matt Jones to throw the ball to...

I agree....
and have said for years that they needed to get Keenan back in here. The catch he made in the playoffs for San Diego a couple of years ago was awesome. He is still awesome at 56 years old. (just kidding, Keenan).
Seriously, he can still perform and it would be great to let him retire as a member of the Jaguars.

All the WR's you listed are old and slow...
The falcons took that approach and signed Joe Horn to a 2.5 mil guaranteed salary… how’d that work for them?
Let’s see how Porter looks first, it’s clear we need to do something, but if it isn’t Porter, then I think we may be out of luck until next year… He was our guy this offseason on the offense, The GUY we targeted and got. If he doesn’t work out, then Shack may have made a huge blunder in Free Agency

go young
I agree with Collin if Porter is a bust (honestly i don’t think that he will be as soon as he gets out on to the field) then the Jags are toast this season. Matt Jones is getting better but still not a starting caliber reicever. We need to draft some one that can be the number one reciever here for years to come not just 2 seasons cause honestly the last couple of drafts have been busts for WR’s (Reggie williams is an exception he is getting better but is not a deep threat)

honest opinion
I am a Jaguars fan was fifteen when they started playing been one ever since. would like to see the team make it to the big dance and win it but unless this team gets a WR that can play at the caliber of Marvin harrison Randy Moss TO etc we will be watching others playing in a game that we could easly get to if the right wepons are in place
