Vince Manuwai out for season

Vince has a torn ACL that will require season ending surgery.  The extent of Mo Williams' injury is still pending.  "Manuwai represents a significant loss. He was the main force in the team’s run-blocking."

'“He’s a powerful player. He’s a big part of our run game. He moves people,” Del Rio said of Manuwai, who has missed just one game due to injury in his six-year career.'

What a start to the season!

The most underated player on the entire oline, Vince Manuwai is out for the year. Not to doom and gloom anyone here, but that is basically your run game. GONE!!! Mo Williams, while pretty good, can’t touch Vince and he is expected to miss some significant time as well. Oh, let’s not forget, Meester and Collier won’t be available as well for this week’s game too. Geesh! We’re screwed people! We need to start a new thread, “How long til David goes down with an injury?”
I did hear on Tom McManus’ show earlier that Naoele may be brought back, which if healthy might not be too bad of an option. Let’s hope that he can still block as good as he did a year ago before the injury.
I can’t even begin to fathom that we blew an oportunity to take a lead in the division against the Colts and given the fact Brady is out for the year we could really be discussing some serious Super Bowl talk today. Instead, we are left with discussing how the team will rebuild the Oline. At this point, finishing within the top ten in the league in rushing will be a shock to me. Let’s hope for a great second half, if and when Meester and Mo Williams return. If Naoele is healthy and can play, that is our last hope for the run game.

The jinx has been on this team from the start

It began to feel bad in the OTAs. I look at it this way, this is Jack Del Rio’s biggest coaching challenge. We will now see how he and David earn their money.

I really am curious to see who pulls through and who can’t handle it. This is a time for heros just to get to 9-6.
