That was our Salary Cap number for 2008..............

I'm not really into player contracts, so I just wanted to know what to expect about that number for 2009...........

Could players like D.Florence, Porter and or B. Wiliams  of really low performance and really high cap impact (6 mill) could be dragging us to the SC Hell???? There are some others like Cleo Lemon that impact more than Rashean or Tony "I like to Hugg DE's" Pashos that makes an impact of nearly 5.........

Then again I've seen complaints about the money Big John receives for his performance, when Rob Meir receives just around a million more than him..??

I wasnt aware of this number... I left it when it was arround 84 mill last offseason..... And it does concern me, cause I rembember the Cap Hell, and I dont think this team could stand another issue like that, in this city.............

http://content.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/salaries/teamdetail.aspx?team=15&year=2008

Thats for the team's salary per player

Ok now I get it....

No Cap hell, cause 2010 will be a no-cap year……………………..

Still you can count that as a waste of money…..

Does anyone have a straight up list

of all the players and their salaries/contracts? I’d like to play a little GM.
I can tell you right now, I’d cut Rob Meier and reduce Big John, Cleo Lemon, and Pashos salaries.

The Breakdown of what each player makes was on the front page… I don’t see it now

Who in the heck

is Tywain Myles? I don’t remember him at all. From what I read he wasn’t on our in-season roster and that he’s currently with the Falcons. How is it that he counted as a hit to our cap? Hum…
How did Cleo Lemon earn any incentive money? He hardly touched the field. I guess it’s a LTBE thing.
BTW floridafalcons#63, where did you find this list; for future reference?

:)

That’s how I roll….. LOL!!! Hope this helps everyone out…

It certainly opened my eyes as to where alot of our money was being spent. We could have kept Leftwich as a backup and not had all that dead money, but instead we spent all that additional few million on a backup…. Why?? But anyways, Shack is gone, new era… let’s do it big GENE!!!

by floridafalcons#63 on Jan 29, 2009 4:08 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Yeah

but we don’t know about roster bonuses Leftwich would have got. It could have cost us even more money, and he hasn’t even been needed much considering Garrard has been a warrior and starting every game this year. Besides the controversy would be too much with Lefty sitting on the bench when Garrard is having a bad day.

It’s only a controversy if you let it be…. What bonuses could he of gotten if he was sitting on the bench?? Oh, wait, Holding the Clipboard for more then 10 games = $50,000…. LOL!!!
