The Jaguars coaching staff gets to have an up close and personal look at some of the nation's top draft prospects this Saturday Night. Keep all of your thoughts here for the game. I don't have much analysis to offer really as these all star games tend to be little more then scrimmages and a chance for coaching staffs to get to know players better. Players on the South squad who I give a good chance of suting in a Jaguars uniform next season include Michael Oher, Alphonso Smith, Cullen Harper, and Herman Johnson.

Cool thanks FSBlue

I’m looking forward to seeing potential, future Jaguars but I also want to see how Jack does with Head Coach and Defensive coordinator positions.

I expected Pat White to have to switch positions

but he looks very strong right now. He’s staying in the pocket when he needs to, looking off the safety and making good throws. He could probably be available with as late as a 6th or 7th. I wouldn’t mind the Jaguars taking him for the future.

I am going to call it right now...

We are going to draft that FB out of LSU Quinn Johnson or whatever his name is.

Kennedy Pola was literally fawning over the kid during the week’s practice and he’s performed well thus far.

Is a fullback really a wise decision?

Greg Jones and Montell Owens are locks for spots on the roster. Cotrone will probably compete for a roster spot and I don’t know of any team that has ever had 4 FBs on their roster.

Well

I think it will a be a good decision, and here’s why. If we get another true FB Greg Jones could play full time at RB, another position of need(for depth). Also I think we have to consider Owens as just a ST guy and maybe a RB, but not a FB. Also Anothony Cotrone was hurt even before training camp started if I remember correctly and so we can’t have a true grade on him, not to mention there’s no telling if he’ll come back completely from his injury. Also Cotrone has practice squad eligibilty and he wont be highly touted, so he will probably be safe there from other teams if we need to activate him during the year.

You won me over

We don’t really have a prototypical fullback for blocking and Greg Jones could probably reach his full potential being used like McClain was for Baltimore.

he's graded as a late round to UDFA

But he is a fantastic blocker and showed good hands out of the back field

I would

take him in the middle of the 5th.

I thought so even before this week

when I saw Q Johnson in the LSU Georgia Tech bowl game.

Didn't get to watch last night

How did Cullen Harper look? He was always streaky when he was at Clemson, but when he was on he was on. Also, Pat White looked good at QB? Hmm

Cullen Harper barely played

He came in for only one drive and he did a good job leading the team down the field for a TD. He only made one nice throw and was a little inaccurate on a couple other throws. Pat White looked really good at QB believe it or not. He was standing in the pocket, looking off the safety and making accurate throws all over the field. He missed one huge play over the middle by just a step and the receiver probably could’ve caught it if he dove. On a couple plays he ran a naked bootleg and it was like taking candy from a baby.
