Roski group exec admits Jaguars are a target
"Come next week, our stadium will be approved," Majestic exec John Semcken recently said. "Then we'll be able to go out and buy a football team."
Semcken said that the group plans to target at least six franchises: the Bills, Chargers, Jaguars, Vikings, Rams, and Raiders. The 49ers also could be in play, if they cannot finalize plans for a new stadium in Santa Clara.

Jacksonville would love Limbaugh as the owner of the Jaguars.
He has thousands of loyal listeners and WOKV.
…I think I puked a little in my mouth.

I say Chargers
Chargers stadium is in shambles, they face weekly blackouts (like us) , LA is only 2 hours north, and they wont have to re-align the divisions. Makes the most sense to me.

+1
Stadium issues are always the most pressing problem, and there are no stadium issues in Jacksonville.

The Rams are getting a $30 million renovation
to the Edward Jones Dome and there has been interest from local groups to buy the team. The Chargers are stadium challenged, but a couple suburbs have emerged as possibilities lately. I highly doubt St. Louis moves, but San Diego is a possibility and I maintain that Minnesota is the most likely candidate.

I Just Can't See
The LA Vikings. That just doesn’t sound right, despite a lot leading up to them being the team to move. Chargers or Raiders would make the most sense.

LA Tigers
There are four FBS college teams with the name, its time for an NFL team to have one.

I still don't get the two teams thing.
LA couldn’t support two teams years ago it won’t do it now either. Stick one team there be happy and move on the population of LA is mostly people moving in from other areas and they retain the loyalty to those areas teams not to LAs team.

Yeah, two teams isn't plausible.

How could it be? I mean unless one team got Northern LA and one team got Southern
It only really works in LA because the Giants and Jets draw from different areas
by Jonathan Loesche on Oct 12, 2009 10:43 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah
And that area surrounding the Jets and Giants has so many people. I don’t think fanbases for two separate teams could be found in LA. The Giants and Jets situation works, but I just don’t see two teams working in LA.

Two teams could be supported fine
The Raiders and Rams didn’t leave because they couldn’t be supported. They left because of stadium issues.

Titan fans tell me the same thing.
That Houston didn’t support the Oilers, thats bullshit. We just refused to use tax money to build Bud Adams a new stadium downtown. So he took his ball and went home like the piece of shit that he is.

Sadly,
TheJaguars will always be on the list if the tickets dont start selling. I ptay that Jacksonville sees the light and starts filling the stadium win lose or draw. I am a Jaguars fan because I was born in Jacksonville. I dont think I could cheer for the Jaguars if they move. Please Jacksonville, learn how to be NFL fans and get in that stadium and root for YOUR team.
by indianajagfan on Oct 13, 2009 9:11 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
hmm
From looking at the things I am sorry to say but if fans don’t get in the stands the most likely team that will be heading west is the Jags. Florida times union has already stated that the City is having to pull from its general fund to pay for stadium maintenance because ticket revenue is not enough to pay for it. We need to put a good product on the field to draw the fans into the stands. Jacksonville people are not use to paying 60 bucks for a ticket to go see a football game and most will refuse to do so as long as the Jags are playing like this.

don't even start....
the cool-aid side of me would say it’s the same ole’ talk every year. Look at Cinci… may have a black-out this week-end, Buffalo, St. Louis…
I’m not worried about the Jags moving… I’m more worried about a contraction after the CBA talks. I could easily see the NFL pulling 2 teams – Jacksonville – Buffalo or St Louis and going to a East, Central, and West with 5 teams each. It’s either that or as I have said before… the NFL will change their revenue platform based off of television sales. Direct TV just got me.
Some of these owners are not going to continue to break even or make a little profit. You can’t blame them. The NFL is big business. The genie ain’t going back in the bottle. In the end, the fan will pay.

It’s tough on the ownership when the fans don’t show, but on the same note it’s tough on the fans when the team doesn’t show Either.
See how Limbaugh owning Rams affects Jaguars:
