The state of the jaguars after 6 games is right where it needs to be. We are not an elite team yet [any way). We are not the doormats either. What we are is a young up and coming team. We will be inconsistence for a while due to growing pains. Yes we can expect the occasional blowout, by us and to us. When our growing pains are done we will have very good team maybe even elite.
This years draft is the foundation for great things to come. We hit home runs with our first four draft picks and the remainder of the class is getting significant playing time.
Our free agents this year are both teaching and leading our rookies this year.
Gene Smith first year as general manager has shown remarkable improvement on the Team. He has gotten rid of players who do not want to play and were cancers to our team last year. He gave Fred Taylor the chance to get his ring instead of keeping him around another year or two. The proof of how well this team is going to be will be next year. The draft should help us fill a few more of the holes we have. Right now the jaguar’s arrow is pointing up and should remain there for quite a few years.
