Mike Florio hatin' on Jags once again...
In Peter King's MMQB this week, Mike Florio takes a jab at our beloved Jags. The NFL is intent on placing a team in the London area within the next ten years. First, by playing multiple games there with possibly 2 next year, and more after that. Second, by selecting a team to play there annually, which would allow the NFL to develop a following for that team. If all goes well, then there could be a permanent team established there.
This past weekend Roger Goodell had much to say about the possibilities that exist in Europe. With the Jags current inability to fill their stadium on a regular basis... it is concievable to think that the Jags could be picked to play there annually.
I believe that if the front office can continue on a path that would turn this franchise around then I don't think that the Jags will be a candidate. I say this because since Gene Smith has taken over things are changing. I'm not opposed to the Jags traveing over the big pond to play, but not on a consistent basis. Furthermore, I would not like to see the franchise lose out on a possible sell out at home because the game is in London. I would hope that within the next 3-5 years that all of this is behind us, and we're sitting pretty in the Florida sunshine.

The way I see it
if(big if) the Jaguars are to move anywhere, it better be LA. Moving them even further away from me would piss me off. (Not saying they should move to LA)

London would be an epic failure for the NFL

for a once a year event for 3 years, and a ticket sale
at $50-$200 US (much on par with JAX) – That’s not saying much. Do it 8 times a year for 15 years and then tell me the NFL has taken off in London. Goddell… what a joke.

Until actual butts are in our stadium - this kind of talk will NEVER cease
and eventually the team will be moved somewhere.

Correct statement by OGN!
But maybe if we think positively really hard….and keep writing that it won’t happen….maybe….with a little magic….

I completely agree!
It’s going to take the fan base to change this. Not Norman Vincent Peale’s “Power of Positive Thinking”. Until the city embraces this team win or lose the NFL will not stand by, and wait any longer. Nor should they!

London
It’s pretty easy to have 1 sellout a year for an NFL game in London, but can they have 8? I don’t think so. Besides, soccer is the popular game over there, and any NFL team would have trouble competing with that. Vic seems to think that there will be a team over there eventually, but I have a hard time seeing it working. Also, what about the travel issues? Just take the Jags trip to Seattle and multiply it by 8. Having a few games over there a year from a few different teams isn’t a bad idea, but relocating a team there is not a very good one.

Nothing you have said so far has been original or intelligent.
Other than to support what OGN commented on which I completely agree with. So use your deductive reasoning skills, and comment with substance instead of “juvenile” remarks. I know you can do it. You didn’t get into law school by chance.

This is only the beginning.....
The media is going to keep bringing up the Jags possibly moving until people start filling the seats at “The Jack”. It’s not Florio’s fault that people are trying to find any and every excuse not to go to the games. So lets buy the tickets, and stop blaming the team, the city, the economy, Obama, and whoever else, and get it done.
