3k from Turf Show Times back for some mock help
Hey Jags fans. I'm back again and this time I've got the questions. You guys might remember I stopped by before the Jags-Rams game. I would have liked to have prodded for some more questions, but my wife went into labor and I ended up missing the game. Priorities schmiorities, I say.
Anyway, I'm the de facto draftnik over at Turf Show Times, and you guys helped me when I was putting together my 2009 mocks, so I figured I stop by and see what you guys are feeling mid-season.
What prospects are getting hyped here at BCC? What positions are you guys hurting at? Obviously RB and OT are off the board, but what other positions to you guys feel comfortable at? Hook a brother/new father up!

And you're thinking in that order?
As in QB>OLB>S?
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

The BAP will more than likely be a QB.

That's kind of a
statement that takes clairvoyance to make. Unless your are trying to say statistically there will be more highly rated QB’s than any other position, but even that’s hard to predict. There are always dozens of players that shoot up draft boards because they are people no one knows about until just before the draft or at least after the combine.

i think the Qb class is deep
You can take a starter in the 3rd. Tony Pike Dan Lefevour, Thad Lewis, heck even Tebow.

I think
Our biggest need is for someone that can rush the passer. Someone I would assume that has a great first step.
A QB with all the tools like Joe Flacco will be considered, but since we got Garrard he can have some rough edges to him mechanics and technique wise.
A couple of safeties could be an option. Both A strong and free. I take it he likes brains more than brawns at the position that has to often compete with the likes of Peyton Manning.
We also need more depth at the CB position, but I would assume anyone that you or any just-for-fun-draftnik could come up with is probably not on his list where we feel they are valued.
We also need a back up RB badly, IMO.
If there is a ideal WR out there when it comes time to pick and the value is very good, I don’t think we would hesitate to find an eventual replacement for Torry Holt.
A center or A guard can be an option. I imagine the player would be very heady and mobile; and probably a much lower round draft pick.

Here's what i Say
1st round – Get Safety Burnett, Gerald Mccoy, or trade down.
No 2nd
3rd I’d want a Qb – Tony Pike, Hiller, Lefevour, Tebow.
The rest can go anyway.

Defensive Line & QB
2 def ends & 2 def tackles that can get after the qb. Garrard was a 1 year wonder.

Some who can rush the passer
is critical!!!!
Then safety; guard and center and then QB and some LBs if we stick with the 3-4
