Arrowhead Pride answers your questions about the Chiefs
Hey guys,
Tomahawk44 here. Looking forward to the game this Sunday. We had a week off so we are having withdrawls over at Arrowhead Pride. We picked up a new WR yesterday (Chris Chambers) hoping to see what he has left in the tank. What are you guys looking forward to the most in this game? Any questions shoot em at us. Thanks!

Hes done pretty good IMO
but there is lots of Cassel haters too. He has been hit so much and just keeps getting up and playing. Your defensive line will most likely have a hay day on Sunday. Cassel has had some accuracy problems but who wouldnt when they are running for their life every other down? haha
you obviously have not seen our Defense play this year - your QB will NOT need a shower after the game

I might add - Cassle will probably have his best day of the ENTIRE season this Sunday
our D is pathetic and our pass defense is none existent.
by OGN on Nov 4, 2009 9:31 PM EST up reply actions
Yeah I fear if he had a good day; and Bowe too.
But Mathis is in the lineup most likely soo we might survive that

Your o line doesnt matter. we played seattle a couple weeks ago, they pulled their 3rd string LT up from the practice squad that week because of injuries and had two other backups starting on the line. We didnt come close to Hasselbeck all day. 0 sacks. 41-0 them. so YOU dont have to worry.

was it Macintosh?
we nicknamed him McSack when he was in KC… Who is your biggest defensive playmaker?
We have a defensive playmaker?
I didn’t know that.

I guess
Derek Cox is a playmaker even tho he’s a rookie with 2 Ints, and he dropped a Vince Young floater O.o.

haha funny - As I've always said, I call em like I see em
I have agreed and disagreed with everyone on this site at one time or another – just as I’m quite confident that the reciprical is also true. I don’t always agree with my wife either and vice versa. If we all agreed on everything – this site would provide no function whatsoever.
I do respect everyone on this site – we are all Jags fans and want this team to win it all. On that – we can all agree :-).

Tomahawk - if you guys have a morge and a space heater -
you will be able to provide MORE than adequate pass protection for your QB.
We are on pace to set an NFL record – fewest sacks. Our D thinks it’s a criminal offense to even touch opposing QB’s – so no worries – Cassel will be the cleanest guy the stadium (including the fans) by end of game Sunday.

You realize the Chiefs CURRENTLY hold that record in futility right? And the number is 10.

God I hope so
that’s one I don’t want sticking around our defense for too long.

well - I'd rather not have that record but the truth is our D is beyond horrid
and there is absolutely no pass rush – Cassel should have an extremely good day.
Its more than likely MJD kills their defense
and Dwayne Bowe and Cassel Kills ours.

Thanks for the opportunity for taking our Qs
MY questions are?
Is Tamba Hali the best player of the defense right now?
Are there any more playmakers at the defense we should look for?
How Tyson Jackson’s progress is going? Do you satisfied with him so far?
How good the other rookies are so far?

You could argue he is one of the top two, for sure.

Brandon Flowers is a solid corner. He’s about the only other playmaker we have on defense.
How Tyson Jackson’s progress is going? Do you satisfied with him so far?
I am fine with him. He certainly hasn’t put up the stats but he’s young and defensive linemen tend to take a little longer to develop. Plus, he’s playing a position that doesn’t necessarily rack up the big stats.
How good the other rookies are so far?
Ryan Succop, the kicker, has been great. In terms of value, I think he’s one of the better, or the best draft pick.
Thanks you veeeery much for the detailed answers!

tamba has done pretty good. he transitioned to LB much better than most thought he would. i dont know if i would say best player on defense though.
TJ hasnt done a whole lot…it takes players like him a couple of years to learn the position but hes not doing much now. as for other rookies…our kicker is the only one who has done a much and he was our last pick.

Thank you for coming over and getting a slice of Jacksonville
So, hows your new Coach?
What are your biggest Draft needs?
What record do you think to have by the end of the Season?
Who as a Chief’s fan, do you dislike the most in your Divison?

some people love haley other hate him…i like the direction and coaching style he brings to the team…just need some better coaches under him like at DC…sadly, we got in the game late and only had a lot rejects to pick from.
draft needs…OL, S, LB, WR. those r the biggest though we will see how chambers turns out.
our record…we will only have 3 or 4 wins this season…
as for dislike…the raiders have to take it. i dislike them with a passion. have for over 27 years.
Speaking of washed up recievers:
Is Bobby Engram producing? He was my favorite Seahawk for awhile.

a lot of people
r thinking he may get released pretty soon.

in his defense...
he hasn’t played to much… because well… hes old…
no really though.. he only gets 4 or 5 plays a game.. probably none now that chambers is here
One more question
How is Mike Vrabel playing in his new team? Is he still a force? Are the Chiefs using him in offesne too?
Life without knowledge is death in disguise
by Zoltan from Budapest on Nov 5, 2009 9:04 AM EST reply actions
Vrabel is doing pretty well
he always seems to be in the right place at the right time, always near the ball if he’s not making the tackle or sacking the QB. He’s definitely the defensive leader. He’s been in as a TE on goal line situation a few times this season.
I’m very happy with him, and think you’d be hardpressed to find someone that isn’t

Unrelated..
I would just like to thank Chiefs management for releasing Bernard Pollard, he has played at a very high level since he has arrived in Houston.

Don't remind us
We’re short on safeties right now, and that’s a 50-50 split on whether that was a good decision or not. Personally, I think not. Loved Pollard, except when he whiffed… and that happened once a game (at least). I think it had less to do with him and more to do with the 10 other guys in front of him.

He is a beast in the run game.
Does whiff in pass coverage sometimes.

His biggest problem is
he ALWAYS goes for the big hit (and then helps the guy up, at least he did when he was a Chief). He lacked the coaching of wrapping a guy up, which seems to be an overall problem today in the NFL from what I see game to game.
This isn't a "kum-bye-yah" campfire! THIS IS FOOTBALL!
Agreed
But in our 8 years in the NFL we haven’t ever had a safety that likes hitting people, so for the Texans defense that was a welcome change. He doesn’t look to wrap up, and I agree that many defenders in the league would rather lay a big hit then wrap up and make the proper tackle.

Do all Chiefs fans want LJ benched for rest of year ?

most do, yeah.
The thing about LJ, is you either love him or hate him. He’s easy to love when he’s playing well, mostly because he’s not bitching. But when things aren’t going right for him, he loses it and it’s getting old with the people in KC. He doesn’t want to be here, and people are just tired of his act. He was given a clean slate and every opportunity to show he’s changed his ways by the new regime in charge, and he publicly bashed them and wasn’t man enough to own up to it the next day to the media, instead deciding to call them a homosexual slur… So yeah, his welcome is about worn out.

+1
And there’s been a lot of discussion from fans who don’t want LJ to break Priest Holmes rushing record for the Chiefs. He’s shown complete disrespect for the organization and worse yet, the fans.

How has Glenn Dorsey played this season ?
He doesn’t seem the type of player to play end in a 3-4.

IMO he has done pretty good.
He has a solid amount of tackles but sadly none of those tackles are sacks. If he finds out how to get into the backfield more I feel as if he will be a force at end.
Chiefs Top Five Solo Tackle Leaders:
Demorrio Williams -37 Tackles
Mike Brown -33 Tackles
Mike Vrable -25 Tackles
Corey Mays -24 Tackles
Brandon Flowers -19 Tackles
He has done ok.
Could be better at getting penetration. Does ok against the run.

Did you see
when LJ was on that Kardashian show and his buddy was trying to hook him up with the ugly one, i think it’s Khloe. Anyways, his buddy said to the girl" He always treats women right" I thought that was soooo funny.
Coach Crennel, if all of your Coors Lights can talk what happens when you open your fridge? There's generally "Hoopla" involved.
