Mike and MIke in the Morning
Mike Green and Mike Golic were discussing if it will take 9 or 10 wins to get the last wild card spot for the AFC. They discussed it back and forth, Green thinking it will take 10 and Golic thinking it will take 9. They then went through 4 games left for the Broncos, Jags, and the remaining 6 - 6 teams.
It was Golic's comments that did not sit well with me. When discussing the remainder of the Jags games, it sounded like he implied that they would not win but one of the remaining games. Later in the show, he recanted a bit by saying that the Jags were in a better spot than the 6 - 6 teams as there is a reason teams are 6 - 6.
I don't see any reason this team can't take 3 or even 4 of the remaining games, though no game in the NFL is a given, as the Raiders are reminding everyone of. The Jags have a golden opportunity to surprise a whole lot of folks around the league with there under the radar position. Lets get out and support these guys on Sunday, and carry it through next Thursday (if you are able). We control our own destiny, and that’s a great place to be, even if the road ahead is tough. Just my opinion.......

Who cares, Greeny is still mad we wrecked the Jets season
If we’re in the playoffs than we’ll get respect.

Just think how stupid the average Jest fan is, and then realize that half of them are even stupider! ( a parody of a George Carlin line)

We will get
respect when we win a game in the playoffs, until then no one is going to believe us. Reality is, I like this team and they have a good chance of going to the playoffs, but I don’t think we are as good as the division leaders. I think smart football(Few turn-overs, few penalties smart football, good tackling) has allowed this team to overcome a couple glaring weaknesses. Probably should be giving the coaches some more credit, especially with such a young team.

Glad more people are realizing the coaches have been doing a great job. I’ve been lonely over in JDR’s corner.

I think Green gives us a better chance than Golic!
But I agree with you, and feel we can do it (make the playoffs), starting Sunday!
On the flip side of ESPN, Scott Van Pelt has been repping Jax a lot on his show

Alright. One of the few you can say that about on ESPN

I'll be happy if we get to 9-7
whether we make the playoffs or not.
Right now I really want a win this week to keep the dream alive for 2 more weeks.
this game is the biggest yet
but its weird to say that with crucial games at NYJ and last week. But this is the key to it all. I feel great about the Jags this week though. DG and MJD will come ready to stomp.
I must say as happy as I am to be where we are and realize we are so overachieving given our rebuilding status, we DONT HAVE A legit win yet besides outside the division. I give props for going to NY and beating the jets, but there are out of the wildcard right now. So, I really wanna prove our worth with at least 2 wins out of the next 3.
