Thoughts from a concerned fan

Is it just me or are we still yet underutilizing one of the top players in the league.  Our offensive is terrible(in the middle)  so why do we just send MJD up the middle, it just makes no sense.  Our QB cant get a pass off against a 4 man rush.  The defense more than gave us a punchers chance today even with Henne completing 17 straight passes.  I just don't have faith in Garrard now either, he is too scared to be effective.  We have the best recieving corps in many many years yet we look like the Lions at times throwing for 139 yards in a must win game.  Run up the middle, batted pass, sack, punt.  Atleast we have Emporer Smith to take out the trash.  He should start with Uche, Vince, and Brad.  Play for a better draft pick so we can get more players like Britton, Knighton, and Cox.  I am happy that we won 7 games this year, I had picked us to win 4 at the beginning of the year, but we have alot of holes.

One - legged man ?

Why can’t I vote for the person who kept telling Garrard to kep throwing to the on-legged man Mike Sims-Walker ?? Dirk Koetter has the players – he needs to spread the field and use that speed to help jump start MJD’s running lanes or Dirk don’t let the door hit ya on the way out !!
Everyone can see it except him – why is that ??

No Tebow

I’ll be the first to say we need a QB for this team’s future and I really want Gene to draft one. But please, please stop saying Tebow should be the one.

He simply doesn’t have an elite NFL arm. He can’t make all the throws.

look at the alabama game

they made tebow throw and how did that turn out?

If we draft Tebow

The stadium is going to be known as the Jacksonville Municipal Waterworks. Kleenex would become a top sponsor since we’d be losing a lot of games with Tim Tebow. He’s probably a nice guy, but he will ruin what is left of the franchise. Alabama probably had the best defense that Florida played against all year, and he looked rough. I would love it if he was good enough to make this team a superbowl contender. It’s not happening.

Kleenex

wouldn’t be a bad sponser for all the crying Tebow would be doing after all our losses.

I belive that we are trying to get Podlesh to the pro bowl since he obviously is one of our go to guys.

A. Podlesh 7punts with a 43.1 average.

I think the lack of a pass rush has lost all of the games this year.

by Pickle on Dec 13, 2009 5:33 PM EST reply actions

TEBOW?!

I like that guy.

David had a bad day because the line had a bad day. Get over it. He’s our guy. He’s made more positive plays for us than mistakes this year. I love David. He’s exciting, he’s good with his feet and arm. Give him a break. Why do you need a sacrifice? We lost a close game. This didn’t feel like a gut punch to me. It sucks, but I feel good about the team. Especially our defense, who played well minus key players.

Don't be surprised when Jaguars draft

a Guard in the first round over Tebow. If Jaguars or anyone for that matter picks him… look for a late 3rd round pick at best. You don’t pay 1st or 2nd round money to projects and a 1st round quality Guard could’ve helped us win a couple of games this year IMO.

In the face of adversity, what you do from then on dictates who you really are...

I Doubt

We take a guard in the first. Our first is most likely going to be defense, with our third a guard/center.

Probably a trade in that scenario

Plenty of other teams need a tackle.

If he's an

andre smith type, maybe. Then he can drop inside to play guard.

by Ewdtrey on Dec 15, 2009 4:00 AM EST up reply actions

Where the Jaguars are going to be picking is still a little high for a guard.

Hopefully they’ll trade down a bit and maybe get a 2nd round pick out of it.

Haha nice

That’s funny right there

by Adam Stites on Dec 13, 2009 10:17 PM EST up reply actions

I was joking about TT. I really do believe we need a young QB to develop and take over in a year or 2. We have too many holes to waste a 1st rd pick on QB class that I am not that impressed by.

OK - with a QB rating of 59.6 - why is David not in your poll?

can’t vote in your poll – a glaring option isn’’t present

I wish

Garrard would been given more than one chance to throw the ball on the last drive. Can’t blame him when he completes his only attempt for a 16 yard gain. Garrard has been clutch all year, and then we took the ball out of his hands.

Yeah, it’s nice to see a different opinion (even if I think it’s wrong) It’s a good discussion topic.

very true point

I like debate even if I or the person is totally wrong.
