Games attended by Jaguars Scouts

The college football season is finished except for the endless bowl season, and the Jaguars scouts have completed the majority of their in game scouting. The only things left for them will be the various All-Star games, before all of the other Pre-Draft hysteria kicks in.

I've complilied all of the games the Jaguars have had scouts at, that we know of, into one easy to use table. This will also be linked to when we relaunch the Draft Headquarters in a few weeks. As we can figure out more players targets, the empty spots on the table will be filled in. For now, here is your first conclusive look at what Emperor Gene has been looking at for the 2010 NFL Draft.

Meanwhile

A bit off (?) Clint Ingram is on IR!!!! We see the last of him? I think 60+% yes..

New guys to the 53 man roster:
Tank Daniels (LB with postseason experience with the Ginats; Eagles)
Zach Potter (a 4th TE???)
And Cecil Newton -C (we need to see what he can do in Cleveland at least)

Josh Vaughn is signed to the PSquad(I liked him in the preseason-so this is a good move!)

I have watched Trevard Lindley

since he started in college. Dude can play. I also believe our starting free safety for next season is already on the team. Rashean Mathis. You heard it here first.

Trevard

Is a nice corner. He’d have to be our first round selection though, because there is no way he falls into the second. Guy can play man as well as anyone in the country.

Brandon Ghee

Really nice player from Wake. A nice vid of him against Boston College. He maintains nice body position in coverage. The second completion against him down field is something you don’t see every day, and I guarantee he won’t let that happen again. Good hips, nice acceleration and speed as well. You can see he offers a little more than other corners with that fox blitz he brought off the edge.

Keenum

Like the QB in the game i saw of him… not too much tape, but any idea where he falls or if he’s coming out.. Hed be a good developer for QB

Not at all

I’ve said it before but case is coming from the next Tex tech in Houston. All they do is spread and pass. He’ll never ever make it in the NFL.

Dunlap?

Do you think Gene Smith will take a shot at Dunlap now that he got arrested for that DUI? Gene drafted for character as well as talent last year, do you think that trend will continue next year?

by JCJag on Dec 22, 2009 10:23 AM EST reply actions

Doubt we'll go with Dunlap, even before the DUI Dunlap was known as a major underacheiver

Christian Ponder in 2011! Bring him home Wayne, he can actually play QB in the NFL

Please don't bring another Florida DE...

I heard guys who watched USF games often that even Selvie had great bust potentials as a pro!!!!!! We need a VETERAN FA DE! I don’t trust in rookies anymore when it comes to passrush!

i’m leaning that way too, zoltan… if the price is right.

Yeah

I think if Gene sign 1 NOT SO pricey (but not so cheap either!!!) FA; then it is the DE position. We need someone who actully remebers how you must knock down the QB IN ALMOST EVERY GAME

I didn't trust us to draft rookie WRs either

But I trust Gene Smith. If he says Selvie is a player, then I trust he’s a player.

Let's hope that the next BAP 1st round Jags selection

will be a stap playmaker

hated when we let him go and watching Saints games i still feel

WE shouldve kept DE Bobby Mccray. the dude can at least look quick out there and get pressure CONSISTENTLY on the QB. no one on our D is consistent with pressure
