Around SBN: Tiger Woods, Tony Romo Grouped Together At Pebble Beach

Derek Landri has been waived and James Wyche has been activated off the practice squad. What a shame. More on this later.

This is

a shame. But I guess we just couldn’t roster so many DT’s.

I still

don’t like the move.

?????

Curious statement. Care to elaborate?

why are you considering Landri as trash to be taken out? terry and i are curious.

Because he was.

He was barely decent. Sure he had speed, but he was just too small.

by Slvrgun on Dec 4, 2009 2:53 PM EST up reply actions

The guy was not trash

small yes, but he was great at disrupting things inside. Just watch last years tape of him against the Titans. He may have been the most important player in that game that no one mentioned. He single handily stopped a couple screens. Just asked Uche who he hated playing against most in practice. Not Big John. Landri.

called it last night...

I said I doubted we’d see Landri take the field again this season, as Stanley has been a beast.

Still

thought he could have been a package guy. Like a 0 tech on long downs, or a 4-3 End if he could lose the weight and gain his speed again. I can’t imagine him being worse than what we got out there already.
When the heck is Greg Peterson going to see the field? And why not cut Jeremy Navarre instead of Landri. I know Landri can play. What has Navarre done? And besides Navarre still has PS eligibility.

This is not his

call. JDR and Smith had to be on board for this one.

btw... there goes roughly 10% of our sacks on the year.

what a sad statement that is

Very Interesting

It was a release we’d have to do eventually anyways. Derek must of not been performing up to the new standards and a new person should have a chance.

True

and I thought of that. His contract was going to run out soon and he would be a waste to resign considering the depth in front of him. But who is getting a chance? Wyche has had his, IMO. Navarre is never going to be a great player. I don’t know about Peterson, but that’s why I’m calling him out. At least Landri has been good on special teams as a wedge guy. And unless Landri has lost a step he was always good against teams that run zone blocking schemes(like the Titans and Texans) Additionally he was pretty good against the Colts smaller OL.

If I remember correctly, you have been asking "where is Landri" for awile.

I thought about that when I saw the news today. Have we had so many roster moves into a season before? I know we are rebuilding, but we seem to be restructuring alot also.

I think have 2 De's on IR

also drove this. We have Stanley (who i love as a rotational DT), Attiyah, Big John, pot roast. at DT)

Well I understand the move

But I was really pulling for the guy from the get go, so it’s sad to see.

I'm reeeeealy sad about this

I Can’t say i didn’t see that cominbg; but I might wait with this move until next offseason…

By the way anyone heard the News

THAT JOEY ZELENKA HAS A NEW TEAM??
He was signed by the Falcons (Smithey collecting Ex-Jaguars); so he is there now.
I’m very glad about that. Here a little video with Joey Z at his new workplace. Entertaining as always!:

What he said is true.

Right now CJ has better stats, doesn’t make him the best RB.

by Slvrgun on Dec 4, 2009 3:12 PM EST up reply actions

Nothing controversial

about it. Just said MJD might be best back in the league, and that CJ has better stats. Big deal.

+1

We obviously are short on topics if all we have to talk about is Mike’s twitter account. Bring on the postseason… oh wait
