Tebow In Any Round but 5th would be a HUGE mistake: And Heres Why
Tebow is simply a glorified Garrard. Garrard is better in every area, except for charity which tebow just barely has him, and national exposure as well. Garrard is probably a better NFL runner considering the DTs in the NFL would clobber Tebow, a MUCH better passer, especially when hes feeling it. What does Tebow give us that Garrard doesnt? Besides tickets.
Also I must admit that this team is frusterating at times, so i understand the downs of the nonbandwagon teams. Thou the Jaguars are gaining momentuem and a playoff run this year will def improve tickets, along with a improving economy, and if the Jaguars create playoff consistancy, like the Patriots and Steelers, which is possible if Gene can continue to work his magic.
Continuing on that how about the play of the Gene Recruits Eugene and Britton, TBrack, Cox, Gerald Alexander, Anthony Smith, Knighton, Dillard, Thomas, Jennings (at times) Zach Miller Ernest Wilford Tra Thomas Shaun Considine, Torry Holt. without these guys would we even have a shot at playoffs? NO; and if we can get another wave like this or at least similar to this then we can grow to become like the Colts and the Steelers and PAtriots, being good every year.
Now this may take some time. But lets be honest. Is Tebow worth Britton, Cox, Knighton, or Mike Thomas? Would you trade any of those guys for Tebow. Even Dillard would probably be better then Tebow. Zach Miller is faster then Tebow, and honestly probably has a mmuch brighter future in the NFL then Tebow. IN fact honestly, if Miller can run like that he may not only be AS good as Dallas Clark, but MAYBE BETTER. Maybe thats a bit of an exaggeration.
But point is that Gene Smith can work Miracles. And why waste a potential solid pick in the first, third, fourth or even fifth round? Isnt that what ruined the Jaguars in the first place? Trying to pick out of need not who is the best on the chart. Sure the Jaguars played that game somewhat, but not to the same degree as in the past. Sadly, Tebow probably woudnt be anythng but a backup, and would take the place of a potential solid player?
Bottom line is, come draft day we will see how desperate the Jaguars are for tickets. If they can afford to be patient, Jaguars wont pick him till round four or five or six or seven. If they cant... Then were in enough trouble anyways.

I am by no means a Tebow fan......
but there is no way he lasts to the fifth round. Late second or third round is where I see him going. I think he needs to show a fair bit at the combine to move himself up like Pat White. Tebow actually may be a better fit for the wildcat than White. Brown of Miami seems to be the perfect back to play the wildcat back. I think you need someone who can run inside and out to be effective. White and Vick are not those type of runners. Tebow’s poor throwing mechanics will not be a big issue as a wildcat back. He would be a much better passer than pretty well any of the others who have ran the wildcat, including Vick.
Also, the NFL is a business. The Jags need to fill the seats and I don’t think there is any doubt that Tebow would help Jacksonville to sell a lot more seats. I would not be surprised if there is not a beancounter working right now with a marketing consultant to figure out how many seats he might sell, how many dollars he will bring in, which will determine how much they can pay him and thus when he might be drafted. The football scouts will have little input into this decision. Sad but true.
Tebow will be a 3rd to 4th rounder from what I am hearing.
The Jags will not draft him in the 1st round.

And becuase
We have any 2nd round choice there is a good chance that he will be gone before the Jags pick.
Althouth Snyder might select him over Bradford(sexy names) in he 1st round; and we can pick BAP with no temptation…

Thanks Zoltan, I forgot about the Jags trading away the second round pick.
As a football fan, I hate trading away future picks.
Exception
when you trde away picks for good players (Derek Co was selected in the 3rd round for that 2nds rounder of 2010)
I think though that Gene will made some players for picks movce inn the next offseason too…

I Bet Snyder
Grabs Locker. 6 three, big arm and runs a 4.5. Sounds like his kind of player

That where I'd hope to get him
My fear is that at the combines he’ll improve his stock thanks to having a good head on his shoulders and all
