Derrick Harvey playing smart
Derrick Harvey looks like he is gaining confidence in what is happening on the field. He may not get the sacks, but he is still owning his territory. In this sequence, the Texans are in the Red Zone. Let's see what play they call and how well Derrick reacts.

Derrick is on the line but Andre Johnson begins to plant and step back. A screen is setting up.

Yep, Derrick senses it.

He reacts, now is he in time?

Nice Pics Man
Derrick is playing smart and with more confidence than at the start of the season. I think he gets 3 more sacks by seasons end, I can almost sense a streak coming here.

Very nice to see, hopefully he'll do well
Did the Houston half back pass happen in the endzone closer to you? Would love to see those shots.

Did anyone
notice Knighton in coverage. First of all, he’s one athletic 320 pounder. He’s got good hips, good speed and he’s smart. There is this one play where Durant picks off a pass, but underneath Knighton blasted a receiver completely taking that option away from Shaub. You don’t have to cover if you knock your guy down. haha
Anyhow he didn’t knock Kevin Walter down, but he may as well have.
Another interesting thing
… from pics 1 and 2 is how fast Groves got into the backfield. And it looks like Groves flattened #76 in the process, although I’m no sure how he actually did it.
It looks like Groves used a speed rush around him
And Duane Brown either lost his balance or dove to make the block.
Believe it or not
when Groves plays with conviction he has tons of strength for a bull rush. I haden’t seen it much this year, but I saw it a lot last year. I’m glad he finally decided to get physical again.
I saw it against Houston
He lowered his head on one play and had Brown going backwards quickly. If the left guard hadn’t chipped him at the last second he would’ve driven Duane all the way back to the quarterback.
Love the photo and commentary
I don’t know why more don’t note how well Harvey does at playing his assignments. Rec’d.
The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling, but in rising again after you fall.

Agreed
That’s one of the things I don’t agree with Vic on. Many of the quick passes that are coming from opposing QB’s are because Harvey is bearing down on them. Now I’m seeing Q do the same thing. It’s a good sign, hopefully of things to come.
