Fred Taylor cut

Just heard on the radio that the Jaguars are cutting Freddy T today with a press conference at 1:30 . The reason they gave is they want to get younger at the running back position and save about 6 million dollars. Fred may come back at a lower payday. Fred thank you for the great times you gave us. This make Maurice jones Drew the number 1 running back and possibly Greg Jones as the back up

Yep

I got the text from ESPN. Can’t believe it. I imagine he will come back. Doubt there is much demand for him out there. This cut definitely opens up a whole new draft scenario… I think we need another RB to complement MJD. Not sure if he’d be as successful as the lone back.

Here's hoping...

Taylor stays gone. All he did was eat into MJD’s fantasy numbers. Without Freddy T, MJD gets more first down touches and likely even more goal line opps, no matter who they draft. Drew’s fantasy value goes from top 15 to potential top 8 status with this news, especially in a point-per-reception league.

Are you serious???

You care about stupid fantasy league details. The Jaguars just cut the best player they ever had so far!!!!
And you cheers because MJD’s numbers will go up???

This is why I hate fantasy football

People aren’t fans of football anymore, they’re fans of numbers, statistics and players. Ben Roethlisberger’s pass with 10 players on his back is worth the same amount of points as a screen pass with terrific blocking and these fantasy junkies can’t appreciate the difference.

Amen

That’s why I stopped playing fantasy. I realized what it was doing to me as a fan of good football.

blah

You sound like the guy who goes from 12 to 6 o’clock staring at all those fantasy numbers man. Are you even the slightest fan of the JAGS? If you were you probably wouldn’t write something like this here. Seems kind of disrespectful to Fred and all the hard work and years he’s given us. Good luck Fred.
