Colts have cut Marvin Harrison
NFL Network is reporting that Marvin Harrison's agent told the Associated Press that his client has been released upon his own request. This obviously isn't the same as the Fred Taylor situation as Fred was released against his own will, but it is still strange to think that the Jaguars and Colts will play twice this upcoming season and neither Fred or Marvin will be playing. That is, if both teams choose to choose not to sign the former rivals. As a Jaguar fan, I can't say that I am sad to not have to see #88 in a Colts uniform twice a year. After 14,580 yards (4th all-time) and 128 TDs (9 against the Jags)(5th all-time), the future Hall of Famer has chosen to move on and spend his last year(s) with another team.

rumor has it
philly is in the market for him
but it will be strange to not see #88 on the colts, now mathis can stay on wayne and our secondary wont look as bad
Weird
The Jaguars without Fred Taylor and the Colts without Harrison. Now, I could make a comment about how classy the Jaguars were with Fred and how making Harrison take a pay cut was undignified, but that’s a cheap shot.

huh
making a player take a paycut or be released is classier than cutting him even though he’d take one to stay with the team?

Nice logic.
This line will remain in my signature until the Colts draft Rashad Jennings in 2009.

unlikely
people are assuming that Philly is interested just because Harrison is from Philly and he played college ball with McNabb. i seriously doubt they are looking for an old receiver who has lost a step. they are more interested in Housmanzahda or Bolden.
as long as....
As long as no one even remotely suggests signing Harrison. No. Nada. Zero. Zilch. Well, unless he agreed to play for free. HaHaHa
Sean Jax Beach Bum
he probably was offered at least 4 mil to play for Indy this year
that’s the amount he’d have to cut his salary to for it to be as cheap (cap-wise) to keep him as to cut him.

Schedule Looks Easier
Not really, but our two biggest rivals won’t have some of their best players. Rasean can line up on Reggie, and Jones-Drew won’t have to worry about Haynesworth anymore. Now if Peyton Manning and Chris Johnson/Lendale White could get cut…
