O-Line Position Shift Idea
Drafting a young, strong Left Tackle is a must and every Jaguar fan should be at least a little excited about that possibility.
But what about this idea for the other positions. Leave Meester at center, Manuwai comes back to Left Guard, then shift Pashos into Right Guard and let Khalif Barnes have a shot at Right Tackle. It's a bit less demanding but would put his athleticism to use. Also, this would put the stone-footed giant (Pashos) into a Guard position where he could really do some steam rolling. Plus, that leaves Mo Williams in a versatile, gap-filler role, ready to pick up anyone's slack.
Just a thought. What are your thoughts on the Jags O-line and how we can get the most out of the talent currently on the team and new talent from the draft?

It's not a bad idea
The problem is that Khalif Barnes somehow has managed to become one of the best available free agent LTs on the market. I would be really surprised if he came back to the Jaguars, and at a position that isn’t the premium left spot to boot.

Here's my line
from left to right
Rookie, Mo Williams(Better pass blocking guard), Meester(Uche in the future), Manuwai, Pashos
I like for the future the Smiths at LT and Loadholt at RT.
If a guy
Can play Left Tackle, they can usually play Right Tackle pretty well. LT is harder to play, and requires more skill.
He could
but you could find someone cheaper and better if he’s gonna be playing RT. He’s just not all that strong.
Although he would be expensive for a RT, he could be a good fit for a passing team like the Saints.
RT do
Have to be a little bit stronger in most offenses, as a RT has to line up against the defensive left end, who is usually the defenses best run stopping DE. But he would be a good fit on a team that passes a lot.
