Ernest Wilford
Hey guys, I'm Ken, a member of The Phinsider. I was wondering, with your shortage at wr. due to recent events, would you want Wilford back? We were excited about him, but he was beaten out by an undrafted free agent and another wavier wire claimee. He never really played at all for us but he had some decent years for the Jags. It seems to me that you guys could get him back for a low round draft pick. Your Thoughts...
Thanks!

I don't think draft picks should go for players right now
If Ernest was released I’d absolutely love to see him back in Jacksonville.

Yeah, we need those draft picks
But I’d sure be for getting him back if he was free.

No thanks
We let him go for a reason… and it was a good move according to your reason of him being beaten out by an UDFA and so forth… I’d rather have the draft pick.

Yeah I see what you mean.
It just seems like a natural fit being that he had a good year with you guys before he signed with the fins. Too bad that Matt Jones turned out to be a bum. I liked him coming out of college.

He's A Beast In Madden
But like Vic says, people who play too much Madden get away from real football.

Only at the right price
For a 4th rounder (I believe) he was a good investment for the Jags. Maybe if he was released and would sign for the league minimum with a small bonus or no bonus at all. But that would hurt the campaign for compensatory picks.

I think unless Reggie williams gets a job... we can forget about comp picks...
So far Khalif, Gerald, and Mike P are the only players signed… and non to big money deals…

3 guys lost, 2 guys signed
None of the 5 received big contracts. That would seem to equal out to a 7th in my opinion.

And
Who wants to sign Reggie? He had 5 seasons. He has 1 good(a half to be fair in ‘07)
from that period, And he was a 1st round pick. Matt was cut just on Monday, but I’m almost sure he will find a new team earlier then Reggie. Plus he has his own troubles off the field. Seriously, I’ll wonder if he get another shot elsewhere.

there's always...
Jerry Jones and Al Davis are two owners who seem to revel in the fact that they get other teams cast aways. Maybe Reggie and Matt can share what they’ve been smokin’ on the Raiders.
