Jags Interview Tra Thomas
Via Bleeding Green Nation, Tra Thomas Interviewed with the Jags today and it supposedly went Very Well. This looks to be a chance to pick up a Solid, inexspensive, veteran LT to groom our rookie LT we draft. He also is a florida native coming out of Deland(close to Daytona) and holds Golf tourneys in Jacksonville. This signing would open up much more room to draft BAP in the First round Insted of BALT(Best Available Left Tackle).

i like
the jags and the eagles are my two teams, and if thomas had to leave the eagles, then i’d be happy to have him with the jags. this would definitely allow the jags more freedom in the first round.
from what i read though, the eagles want to bring him back since runyan will likely not return after his surgery. i’d be very surprised if the eagles let both their tackles leave.

That’s me old stomping grounds! There’s no chance that Tra is a hatter though.

But with that time
the Jagaurs can develop a guy, from a later round in this year’s draft.
If the rice is goiod then draft him. Also (I repeat myself) with that, the jaguars can REALLLY go to BAP, even trade down in the 1st round!

Zoltan is right.
Picking up a vet LT gives the Jaguars freedom to develop, rather than reach for a starter.

Thanks
my knowledge in English is quite good I can tell you, but I’m suffering a lot because of mistyping and not execute the words what I wanna say often.

My only concern....
Is can he hold up to another NFL season. He was injured last year and missed some playing time with back issues. I know the doc will do his due dilligence, but it is a concern, especially is the back up is a jar.

Well this isn't look promising
It seems, that because of the money the Jaguars will not sign this guy.
I hope somehow he will end up here, because of the reasons I was witten earlier.

Well it makes more sense
It kind of surprised me that Gene Smith would even consider a 34 year old after cutting Fred and Spicer to get younger

We may still be able to get him really cheap
According to Tra Thomas the Eagles are showing no interest in resigning him and no other teams are showing interest in him either. The Jaguars are the only team that has managed to even get a visit from him.

I don't think this is going to happen.
Jags are too cheap.

You say cheap, I say smart with money.
They are sticking to the low risk, high reward philosophy. And I like it! You don’t pay too much money for a stop gap player in his mid 30’s. We’ll need that money to sign a younger LT for the future.
