While I was trying to do some of my own personal research on Jason Cherry, a WR/KR I've been mentioning a few times on this site (and others), I came across this webpage.
http://www.theadvertiser.com/article/20090318/SPORTS/903180327/1006
I saw Jason Cherry in the Texas vs Nation All Star game and he definitely caught my eye. Well he just ran at his pro day and I was wondering what time he would run. (4.46, but he's a superb returner) But in doing so I got a little nugget about who the Jaguar's were scouting. Check out the vid on the page, I thought it was interesting.
I just like the fact that it seems to me like the Jag scouts are not leaving any stone unturned.

Nice Easter Egg...
I’m intrigued by the QB making the switch to safety, and the WR sounds like he’s got serious potential.
The RB scares me though… anytime a guy blows up like that in only a few months… IT SCREAMS ROIDS to me…You have to be really carefull about guys like that.
I bet the QB comes to jacksonville if he’s undreafted and competes for a safety position.
Excellent detective work EWD. I’ll try to find out which Jaguar scout that was in the video and post it here…

I do believe that was Chris Prescott...

Who is he?
What position/positions does he specialize in?

Regional Scout.... don't know about specific positions he's skilled at evaluating though.

how do you become a scout?
are these guys former coaches or something?

Ask Florida Falcon... I think he mentioned he used to be a scout... Maybe not at the NFL level though... I don't know for sure.

Scouting sounds like a
lot of fun to me….But that would be a pretty big waste of my physics degree. haha

Could you do a fanpost explaining the basic (and I mean very basic) concept behind String Theory...
I’ve never understood it…. I love the LHC and the search for the Higgs and all that Jazz, but I’ve never understood the basis of string theory…
I may be asking to much though, so please don’t feel obligated… just popped into my head when I saw physics..

Well if I can put it in one sentence
It’s a physical interpretation in terms of an infinite number of simple harmonic oscillators describing the motion of an extended one-dimensional string.
In other words all of spacetime follows a mathmatical model that resembles a little vibrating circular string. And all of these strings about one Planks length (About 1.6×10^-35 meters) have these resonances(vibrations) that make them different from one another. It’s sort of the idea behind all matter is made of atoms, except the periodic table of elements in this case is much more vast. And when you work out the math you end up with mutiple theories that work but not at the same time unless you have 11 dimensions.
That’s about as simple as I can put it. Truth is it wasn’t my area of expertise, but I hope that helps.

and I thought the string theory referred
to something entirely different.

Thanks for that, bro.

are 11 dimensions one reality or many?

That's a very loaded question
because it has a lot to do with perspectives and quantum mechanics. Basically it’s hard to define reality because you can’t really remove yourself from the experiment. And comprehensibilty/observability is also sometimes what defines reality.
However when talking about universes, some string theories with membranes include a multiverse. So it’s a sort of yes. lol

What the...
uh, yeah thanks for the science lesson, but Physics is next year for me sir. Do you work with physics everyday, ewd?

No more Physics for me,
as of right now. It’s what I majored in, but from now on it’s gonna be more oriented around engineering/aerospace etc…
