With the 5th pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns Select....Michael Crabtree, WR.

The Braylon Edwards experiment is over in Cleveland, Mr. Crabtree is now in the Building. The Browns could have gone a couple ways here. Everette Brown, B.J. Raji, Mark Sanchez, and Matt Staford are all options but Mangini cannot resist the temptation of picking such an offensive wepon.

Cleveland has a ot of options

They are in a spot where they could pick pretty much a wide range of players so Crabtree wouldnt be surprising. Mangini is a defensive coach so i would say that if he passed on Crabtree then Brown or Raji would be his next choice.

Word.

I can understand why you chose Crabtree. Now the question is….how far will Stafford fall?

if i was defense,

i would draft offense and be cocky with my side of the ball

Stafford

Should be available at number 8. I’m anxious to see what the Bengals do at number 6….(I’m drafting for the Raiders)

So far my pick at 9

should be pretty easy. Im not sure I agree with this pick though. 5 teams passing on Stafford seems unlikeley to me but if he does fall to 8 i hope we snatch him up.

I am not sure about this selection

I’m thinking Beanie Wells here. But I am not the GM.

i was thinking beanie for seattle, but both teams can get a quality back in the early second. the depth is just crazy

Beanie

was a thought at Seattle at 4, but it seemed to high with the depth this year. Brown or McCoy could both be on the board in the 2nd round, or even and Andre Brown or Shonn Green in the 3rd. Lots of depth at running back, and there are lots of different types of backs as well.

You aren't supposed to signal your preference

It is a draft.

Don't Agree

Sorry bro’, I just don’t see this one. Cleveland has way to many holes to fill to take a risky pick. They have a huge need at linebacker, d-line, and running back. I don’t think the Braylon Edwards experiment is over. It wasn’t an experiment, and he is still one of the better receivers in the game; granted he had a bad season last year, but I think he was trying to do to much on that Cleveland team that started the season with 5 prime time games and such high expectations.

I agree with the pick

It’s risky, but I can definitely see Cleveland taking Crabtree here if he’s still available. Alot of draftniks have him projected right around this area. I don’t really, but what do I know, right? I’m just a fan who likes to talk and speculate like everyone else. Cleveland loves its offense. After taking a step back last year, I could see them wanting a receiver who alot of people project as being a dynamic receiver.

It is a very

surprising pick rufio, I didn’t saw it coming. I agree with those, who said Cleveland must focus on the defense first, but this is also an option. Giving another target to Quinn/Anderson is not sounding too wrongly.

defense the rest of the draft

with maybe a shawn nelson in the third
cleveland would look good, but so would everette brown, maybe the get a LB in the second. they need one for pressure purposes

surreal to be teal

Why not

pick up B.J. Raji and try to move a disgruntled Shaun Rogers. I know we obviously arent trading here, but it could be a move they consider. What do you think Rogers would net, a 2nd?

I didn't like the pick at first...

But it is gaining on me. If the were able to look towards the defense and offensive line the rest of the way, they could be a force. Crabtree and Edwards with quinn tossing it sounds like it could be a potent combination.

Did not see that coming

Crabtree fills a need for the Browns but I think they go Defense first.

Everybody knows when he's coming to town
They're locking the doors
And they don't make a sound
People want him dead but he won't die yet
First he's got to live
With all the things that he did

Agree

The Brows want a defense in the worst way. You can smell it from here.
