BCC MOCK DRAFT - With the seventh selection in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select........WR Jeremy Maclin, Missouri

B.J Raji would merit some consideration for this pick, but ultimately, Al Davis loves speed. The Raiders believe they have their franchise quarterback and running back in place, and wide receiver is an obvious need.

The pick make sense

Reems. Now I’m so intrested who will be Chris’s pick at #8. I hope not Raji this time.
My money is on Sanchez or maybe on a CB(Davis/ Jenkins?)

I bet the Raiders go OT or DT

Al Davis is not as stupid or senile as people believe. He still knows the quarterback needs protected. My bet for this pick would have been BJ Raji or Andre Smith.

Good for us

then 1 tempting player with HUGE charachter issues would be gone. But it is theoretical, because if Crabtree will be aviable here, then the pick will be a no brainer.

Agree with the pick or not,

I think this has been great already with the discussion and allowing ourselves to think outside the norm of what may happen. Its a great oppurtunity to look at different perspectives of players and teams. This is great. Oh and its not that i dont like the pick because i think its possible, but i think they need to start on the lines too.

I agree with you

This mock draft is a very good thing, to show what we thinking about teams, prospects, and it is a perfect warm up for the draft!

Wow,

the picks are not what I expected but they do make sense. This has been interesting to say the least.

Yes, in that point

our draft is very interesting. I hope Chris will make another pick we don’t seeing coming for the jags!

For the Jags

I don’t know why people aren’t more excited about Raji. Having a clear need at DT, the Jags could have a chance to grab a guy who by almost every scout’s perspective is the clear cut best at his position in the draft.

Because you don't cut a litany of players citing character concerns, and then draft a character concern.

Who will be with the team for 5 or 6 years before their first contract is up.

He may have the ability...

But I am not sold on him rising to it each and every game and season…imo.

Maclin, eh...

Raiders are going DT 1st round. I can see where you’d take Maclin, but they need to slow the opposition down from scoring, Raji could do the trick.

Everybody knows when he's coming to town
They're locking the doors
And they don't make a sound
People want him dead but he won't die yet
First he's got to live
With all the things that he did
