Both appear to have similar power running and upright type styles. Neither appear to have sub 4.4 game speed regardless of what their pro day 40 times say. Display flashes of quickness but both are easily run down by defenders. You don't really see either back outrunning the field or doing a lot of cutbacks.  It is interesting to note both are around the same height and weight.  Appears as if both have had durability issues.

 

Verdict: Chris Wells is an upgraded version of Washington but in my opinion he is not a huge upgrade, and in my opinon he is not worthy of the 8th pick.
