Stafford Already A Lion?

Pro Football talk is reporting that Matthew Stafford could very well basically already be a lion. The quarterback prospect from Georgia has told his former Georgia teammates that he will be the first overall selection of the 2009 NFL draft. Stafford has also said he will be payed more than 40 million in guaranteed money. He has said the move is a "done deal", meaning the contract has probably already been signed or is ready to sign.

What does this mean for the Jaguars? It means there is more of a possibility that Mark Sanchez won't be there when the Jags pick at eight. The Denver Broncos have said they would be willing to trade up if Sanchez, B.J. Raji, or Brian Orakpo are still on the board. Hopefully Raji or Orakpo falls...
