Is no news, good news, in regards to Holt?
After hearing that Torry Holt really liked his visit with the Tennessee Titans, I thought he would have already be signed. Is the fact that nothing has happened increase the chance that the Jags are still in the picture? Are they waiting for the draft before anything will be done? If I was the Jags, I would add a million to the offer just to keep him away from our most hated rival, the Titans.

I think the problem is...
he’s looking for more $$$ than anyone is willing to pay him. He can like the visits all he wants but if his demands are too high, teams will certainly wait to see what unfolds at the draft. If they still need a WR, they can sign one then.

Fisher not signing him hmmm....
Jeff Fisher has a nose for good players. The fact that Holt has visited the titans twice and they have not signed him might indicate that there might be something wrong with him. Before we try to sign this dude lets make sure that we are not getting anther jerry porter who is going to take 3 or 4 mil of our money to sit on IR

Weaver could save a lot of money
If he’s only going to use other teams to do his scouting.

We Need Veteran Help
But all there is going to be is disappointment if we all look at him like he is the saviour of the offense. If he comes here, 60 catches, 750 yards, and 6 touchdowns is about all you can expect from him. I’m more excited about Mike Walker; I think he is in for a break out season.

I think he will be more dynamic this season.
He can smell the opportunity, and I think everyone on the team is going to step it up a notch.

If you are a major sports fan,
You see that most small market teams have to develop talent. We have some talent at WR. We’ve talked about Walker, but I’m interested in what Woods and Hughes bring to the table. This is not baseball, but look at what the Twins, Marlins and do with their rosters: build from within and the draft. If Holt comes fine, if not fine. I think Gene Smith feels the same way.

According to Vic
the Jags really like Hughes. I can’t wait to see what they have been seeing.

Holt needs to sign a deal BEFORE the draft… He would get more $ that way… For instance a team that needs a WR could find on the draft that falls to them and may not need a WR in FA… For his sake, he needs to sign
