Will #81 be #81????

When I originally wrote the SIGN Torry Holt post I was under the false pretense that he was a free agent. Since he has been cut and the opportunity has presented itsself. There was mixed feedback from that post some saying he would be good, others saying that it would be a waste of money. I personally am glad to see that the FO agrees that he would be a good addition. Not something that really has to happen in my opinion but with the Patriots player that was willing to give Fred Taylor his #28 jersey I just wanted to hear what people thought about Mike Walker parting ways with that number. Holt represents a founding member of the "Greatest Show on Turf" but the jags will be signing a shell of his former self. Mike (hope he grows into the SKY nickname) Walker has been identified as someone who has the tools to be a solid reciever in this league. If I were Mike I would say "Torry.... here is your jersey. I am not asking for any monetary compensation. I just want your time. I wanna know what you know so I can perform at a high level as you did. Thats all I ask of you and oh yeah... welcome to Jacksonville."

Yeah, and in a couple years...

…he can take the # 81 back, after his teachings and Holt’s retirement, to try to live up to Torry’s legend.

I really hope

very soon this “problem” will be be realtit, because that would mean Holt is a jaguar. And I’m sure based on what Mike Walker said about Holt, he will let his number to wear to Holt.

He will

I don’t doubt it for a second.

By the way

Mike Walker wore #11 in college. Now that Reggie Williams is gone, it’s open.

Just a little to slow my little Ewok.

Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Fred Taylor. Sounds about right.

If I was Holt......If I was Walker......

HOLT….I would let the youngster keep his number and flip my number around and see can I return to my younger days with number 18…….AKA RANDY MOSS!!!!

WALKER……And Holt wanted his same number, I would give it to him only if he promise me he would teach me all his WR knowledge……Then I would turn the numbr around and become Mike “SKY” Walker……..with number 18……….MATT WHO?? Who did he play for??? I really like Walker…..he has greatness all over him if he can stay healthy….. we also need to get Louis Murphy in the draft. He is a big time sleeper…….

I think

if Walker has respect for the player Terry Holt is, he would gladly give him his #81 number to him. Just as long as Holt teaches Walker everything that he knows about being a WR.

I would

charge Holt for the number. I’d almost hate to do it, but Mike Walker with his health issues has no assurance that he’ll be around next year. Besides, Holt has the money.

He should also have respect enough

to call him Torry instead of Terry.

torry should have the number if he wants it, but he got a nice fat pay day he should be more than willing to give mike walker something in return. It is tradition after all
