BCC MOCK DRAFT - With the thirteenth selection in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select.......Malcolm Jenkins CB Ohio State.
With the loss of Sean Taylor the secondary of the Redskins has been weak at best. The other players did step up after the incident but the defense was never the same without Taylor. Being the number one corner in this years draft, Jenkins should help solve some of the problems in the secondary. With his speed and ability to play the ball he is a perfect fit and a much needed fix on the defense.

Wow this is a reach. Vontae is a true shut down corner. He should have been rated higher on your V board.

He could be
A great safety as well (I mean jenkins)
Plus just came the news that Davis had a failed drug test, which will not help him…

I'm not sure I like either highly-rated CB this year
This feels like a reach dictated by needs-based drafting.

The Redskins
Secondary is not that weak. They have LaRon Landry, DeAngelo Hall and that Chris Horton guy from the 7th round who started as a rookie last season; In addition they have Shawn Springs and Fred Smoot, two veterans. Washington needs linebackers if you are going for the needs based approach, because Jenkins is not the BAP here anyway.
Thats Good For Another Jacksonville... First Down.
