Picture Time: Let's check out the New Uniforms!
First, the Glitter/Sparkle Helmet:
My Take: I like it, the Logo is still the same, it's going to look black in most light situations, but the teal tinkle is going to take some time to get used to.
Teal Home Uniform:
My Take: Derek Landri looks HUGE. Jones-Drew also looks huge. Both look good in the Home-Teal. In case you're worried about the teal in the hot Jacksonville sun, Reebok says it won't be an issue.
We reduced the weight of the jersey 30% from the uniform of last year, which is real important. It’s going to be more of a compression fit from a performance standpoint, all moisture management technologies in the mesh fabrication, anti-microbial technologies. And also what we’re really excited about, we partnered with this company and we have this new technology called cold black and it’s very interesting. Especially down in Florida where darker colors, for instance, when you wear the teal, if you have the teal fabrication without the cold black, with the cold black technology on the fabrication, the fabric will not retain heat. So it’ll be 10 to 15 degrees less in heat compared to the fabrication without it."
We'll have to take their word for it.
Away Uniform and New Logo:
My Take: I love the white jersey and black pants combo, it looks tough. I also dig the block font for the logo, but the lines that come out of the J and the S are bothersome. The full bodied cat is gone, something that I'm very OK with. Now, had they gotten rid of the Teal-Tongue, I'd have cried foul.
