We're going to have to wait and see on Cox
I don’t think the Jaguars would make a move like that unless they were really confident.

My pizza arrived
Plus i wrote some stuff at the hungarian message board about Thomas.
The jags fan there were a bit upset about the trade, but now they think, we have a semi-Mathis at least
by Zoltan from Budapest on Apr 26, 2009 1:14 PM EDT reply actions
I cant wait til I can find your Hungarian Board
Id love to see what the Jags fans there think…and I wouldnt mine pieceing all the translating through an online translator just to satisfy my curiosity!
Go Jags! Some people are like Slinky's...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.
Here

DJ Moore has gone
i was kiiiinda hoping we may take him
but another WR/S/QB might be tasty in rd 5
Chicago has
a quite good draft so far.

What your view (all of you)
About our divisonal rivals so far?

Indy
I didn’t get the Donald Brown pick until I just saw his interview on ESPN. Great character guy.
Fili Moala, not very impressed. I think they picked him a round too early
Houston
I think they’re having an excellent draft. Excellent value with Connor Barwin and Brian Cushing.
Tennessee
Wow, they actually did take a WR in the first round. I do like their second pick, Sen’Derrick Marks.

Donald Brown
Definitely a great character guy, but not the highest on talent. He’ll give you 110% every play he’s in though.
I'm Surprised
They waited this long to address that need. I think the Bills are really committed to BAP.
Thats Good For Another Jacksonville... First Down.

By the way Jason Philips trom TCU
is still aviable? If so he might be a candidate. Slowly we must think, who is left on the board for the 5th round pick
by Zoltan from Budapest on Apr 26, 2009 1:43 PM EDT reply actions
Yes, he's still out there.
I liked him when I was scouting Tommy Blake from TCU last year.

Could he be BAP
in the next round when we pick?
by Zoltan from Budapest on Apr 26, 2009 1:52 PM EDT up reply actions
jason phillips
i did a scouting report on him. he is injured but should recover in a few weeks
Surreal to be Teal
Anyone like any of the remaining TE prospects?
I was really looking for a fast guy – the ones I like are gone.
Cornelius Ingram, who’s more a 4.7 40, recovering from a ACL injury doesn’t have the dedication/attitude to be a Jag.
Zach Miller ran a 4.53 on his pro day, but I don’t know much about him, former QB.
James Casey is older (tried baseball first), but played a lot of positions in a wild-cat last year, put out 28 reps and ran a 4.7 40.
If anyone of them is the BAP
Then pick him
by Zoltan from Budapest on Apr 26, 2009 1:47 PM EDT up reply actions
I wonder what happened with DJ Moore?
Maybe he’s hurt? or has questionable work ethic? or maybe he’s just a complete d-bag? I just woke not long ago, so i missed a lot.
He doesn't play CB particularly well
The reason people liked him is because his versatility to play receiver and return
IDK.
That would be sick though if he fell to us in the fifth.
Thats Good For Another Jacksonville... First Down.
Slowly i would
love to see someone post a list about 5 names, who are the BAP right now. I just wanna know, what are the options of the jags.
I’m BAP right now, position is no matter
by Zoltan from Budapest on Apr 26, 2009 1:53 PM EDT reply actions
why is second round pick duke robinson falling?
and macho was faster at his pro day? how is this happening?
Surreal to be Teal
Duke Robinson is still in?????
Pick him!
by Zoltan from Budapest on Apr 26, 2009 1:55 PM EDT up reply actions
Herman Johnson
doesn’t have a true position IMO. He’s OT size, but he doesn’t have the feet. And he doesn’t have a good punch to be a guard. And he’s horrible if he has to pull.
I like
I dont care when we draft them now, but if we could grab…
-Macho
-Gregg Carr
-Dillard
-Mckillop
Michael Hamlin is a FS on the board
He’s not a big hitter; but he maybe add nice depth for us. Jags type player, good instincts, team captain….
Chris Clemons -
Lacks awareness and instinct that I think Hamlin has, but ran a 4.41 vs. Hamlin at 4.6 or so.
Kropog was a goood pick
by Titans (sadly)
by Zoltan from Budapest on Apr 26, 2009 1:59 PM EDT reply actions
I think he was
overrated. Decent feet, but he doesn’t hold his ground nor is really strong in the running game, but he fits well with them.
BTW, Vic had a video with Director of Player Personnel Terry McDonough
http://www.jaguars.com/multimedia/?id=3175
Terry says that Cox is going to be a starter opposite Rashean Mathis

how can we justify passing on ingram? just think about that
he has first round ability
Surreal to be Teal
terry mcdonough said cox will start
that leaves starks for nickel and everyone else is a backup for a reason. I guess we could get a corner. S or TE is better
Surreal to be Teal
we should draft punter kevin huber. hes on mel's big board now
he’s #1 punter, and he’s good family friends of mine. he’s redic!
That was USC's kicker
We should look at Aaron Perez as an UDFA punter. The guy has an absolutely huge and accurate leg.
We have 2 puners now
Not gonna happen

Draft Dillard please Gene
Everybody knows when he's coming to town

they wasted a trade up
living in cincy, i know deangelo smith only benefitted from playing with mickens opposite him. the ints are misleading hes not that good. just thought id put my two cents in there for the fagboys.
its because everyone wants to watch the jaguars picks
so they give everyone a chance to use the toilet before we pick :D
Jags select
Jarett Dillard

I'd say...
… that we should wait before we judge. It could be an A+ or a D – depends on how the players play. Right now, looking at all the positives, I’d give the draft an A. But we simple don’t and won’t know for sure until a year or two down the road.

I would say so. Especially over Mike Thomas, I see a future Steve Smith

I could be crazy
but any backs left of note worth. I missed the draft this morning, and am trying to play catch up. I’d like to see a late round back…I don’t know if MJD and Greg Jones can carry the load by themselves…
Ignore the hype; look at the results.
we went on an extreme rollercoaster.
grrrrreat 1st round, pretty darn good but somewhat surprising second, very questionable but hopeful thirds, and grrrreat 4th and 5ths.

we wouldn’t have on of the last two wr’s. i couldn’t risk that. I really rather dillard over crabtree.
I would like to remind people that SoCalStites and I have called him a best for weeks now. My only hope for him is that singletary hits him in the jaw and makes him grow up

so whats the plan you thin
Mathis, Cox, Starks, (who would play CB4?)
