Can you Explain to me ?
I was listing to ESPN TV today and Mel Kiper was giving out his draft grades. You know what! He gave the Jaguars a C- while he gave the Jets an A. Now I understand that they pulled off a doosy in getting for Mark Sanchez but still. We got 2 good bookend tackles and some recievers that have a lot of pototinal and a cornerback that has a good chance of being a top end starter.
What are your thoughts on this. Am I being Irrational Elaberate please.

We didn't take Crabtree and we took COx
That is the reason. He thinks David should run around in the pocket until Crabtree finally gets open and that we don’t need to shut down the long balls that cost us oh say 4 games last year?

Yeah
I’m interested as well. And of course I wanna hear how “mysterious John” think about the jaguars draft. And i wanna read again from Chris? And where is Collin?
Am I asking to much????

Chris had his PC die
Collin went to visit Mississippi. There is no internet where he is, only kayaking and banjo players.

Kiper had Crabtree rated as the 2nd BAP, so the fact that we didn’t draft Crabs hurt our stock in Kiper’s eyes. I see a lot of draft grades right around the B to B+ mark which I would agree with. I think Kiper also thought Cox was a late rounder and giving up next years two didn’t help. This is all a guessing game, no one will know anything about anything until years from now. Everything about Kiper sucks…Well he does have a pretty suave haircut hahaha
Crabs...
I’ll admit it, that made me giggle a lil… I’m sure that’s what the 49ers got for the next 5-6yrs lol
In the face of adversity, what you do from then on dictates who you really are...

that haircut makes him look like he is wearing a rubber on his head

Kiper's a tool
He said we should have traded for Jason Taylor last year. Well how did that work out for the Skins?
As far as Cox goes, Kiper will never tell you that half the league attended his pro day where he reportedly had a lights-out workout. All Kiper knows about him is that he didn’t get invited to the Combine, and the only reason for that was the small school for which he played. We still have next years 2nd round pick – his name is Derek Cox.
Well he doesn't have to admit it
KFFL reported the interest Cox had received from teams 8 days before the draft.
You can write a book
on all the times Kiper has gotten it really really wrong. He can say what he wants but hes just an obsessed fan with no real clue on how the game works in my eyes. The only thing hes done is get everyone and their mom obsessed with the draft.
But still
for the first draft under Gene shoot he could have at least said something like good job. But hey what can say about someone who has a haircut that makes him look like he is wearing a condom on his head. I think he is biased against the Jags because he has said nothing nice about them

Can someone name a team that drafted better than us?
Seriously, what team did a better job than Gene?

From top to bottom
I really think there is no team in the league that got the value we got straight through the draft. I think NE picked up 3 or so extra 2nd rounders, but they passed up alot of value in doing so. I didn’t really like some of their picks, etc. Cleveland did a good job at make something out of nothing from their draft. I think Houston got some awesome picks. I’d say I like Houstons draft almost as much as I like ours.
To be honest
I don’t know. I know a lot of teams got a lot of praise for getting players about where I expected them to go. But to me an A+ is deserved when you get a player lower than I expected. It’s all about value.
For instance a lot of people got excited for the Bengals when they drafted Rey Maualuga in the second, but I had him already going at 32, so it wasn’t a huge drop off.
But I had Monroe going at number 2 and if you look at the trade point scale, that’s a huge drop off. And I expected Britton to go at 16 overall and he fell 44 spots, and from the sounds of it, he may have been rated too low at 16.
Some people had Jennings in the second round and he went to us in the 7th. Granted I didn’t think he was going to go until the 4th or later, but you would have been hard-pressed to find someone that would have agreed with me.
Now even if you look at the Patriots pick of Ron Brace at 40! Mayock said he had a third round grade on him. And I would agree with him, even though I am very high on him. But we got someone in Terrance Knighton in the third that I think is just as good against the run, except that he’s much more athletic. TK may not get a lot of pressure on the QB on every down, but he sets up OL throughout the game getting low on guys, and then seemingly out of nowhere, he uses a swim move and gets right by you. And if he gets stood up and the QB tries to step up in the pocket he has a decent spin move and the awareness to use it to get to the QB and with his long arms and big hands the QB doesn’t have a slim chance of getting away.
