For the skeptics out there that think a player from W&M is a bad pick, just keep in mind that the player that holds the NFL's active player record for incerceptions is Darren Sharper. Darren is a DB from W&M that was drafted in the 2nd round by the Packers in 1997.  Sharper has 54 career interceptions ranking him at the top of the list for active players and 18th for all-time career interceptions.  He has been active in the NFL since 1997 and is still a top performer.

The Jags got a steal when they gor Derek. Smart, humble, and a STRONG work ethic.  I look forward to watching him play top notch with the Jags!
