BCC Mock Draft; With the twenty-third selection
The New England Patriots select Aaron Maybin, DE/OLB from Penn State

It is no secret that the Patriots are not getting any older on defense and seriously need to start collecting young talent for the future. Last year the Patriots drafted LB Jerod Mayo who performed above and beyond expectations. The Patriots though could still use more youth at linebacker and Maybin is the solution. After an incredible Pro Day where he recorded a 4.59 forty, a 40.5 vertical, and 10-10 broad jump Maybin has started to creep up the draft boards and the Patriots are lucky to have him fall to them here. Maybin has amazing upside and the Patriots would be able train him for a year or two before he has to start. Maybin has the chance to be an incredible rushing linebacker and the Patriots are pleased to select him here. Matthews, Johnson, and Barwin are also options at this selection.
