ProFootballTalk recently had an article about MJD missing the workouts because he wants a new contract. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/04/07/jones-drew-opts-to-stay-away/ . I only bring this article up because the writer very obviously does not like MJD and pretty much says he hasnt done much in the NFL. The problem is that this writer is only looking at MJD's rushing statistics, if you factor in his total yardage from recieving and returning plus add in his insane touchdown numbers then is one of the best backs in the league. The writer also takes a shot at MJD's ego. Even though some people want to wait out signing MJD to a new contract and others want a new deal now, I think every Jacksonville fan agrees that MJD is an amazing running back and has been a huge part of this team since he was drafted. And on a personal note....I say pay the man, hes earned it.
