They got me again!

Hey BCC, the Army called my number again. I just arrived at my new post in Washington and my Company greeted me by giving me orders to Iraq. This will make it 3 times I have deployed. There goes the 09 season for me. I was hoping to make the Jag Seahawks game but no such luck. The worst part is that I have a 11 month old baby and I am going to miss a lot of her growing up. Not to mention my wife and 3 other kids. I need you guys at your best this year. I will be lucky to catch a highlight of the games this year. Cover the games good for me guys. I leave in August but I will check in with you every chance I get. Take care, this is a great site.

Maybe you can catch a few of those. If not, there’s always BCC and other sports sites. Good luck man.

The military industrial complex strikes again... Thanks for your service, brother. As an American, I'm so so so sorry you have to go back there.

Three deployments is ridiculous, absurd, and makes me angry for you.

I admire you for sacrificing so much, and I’m so sorry you’ll be away from your child. I have a daughter who will be four soon, and I can totally empathize with the pain of being away from your kid, it’s like being away from a part of yourself.

Be safe, and let someone else be the hero out there… you got a family you have to get back to in one piece… I’ve heard some crazy stories from friends who’ve been there, I’m sure you’ve got some too… be careful.

All I can say is… you’re a better man than I sir.

As a former Army soldier, all I can say is to keep your head on a swivel and your weapon fully loaded and sand-free. (So much for the sand NOT getting in there, right?)

When I make it to a game or two, I’ll keep you and yours in my thoughts as we stand for the national anthem and I’ll yell at our defense to knock the crap outta the QB, RB, WR, TE, and whoever else on the opposing team, in your honor. Cool?

That sucks bro.

It honestly breaks my heart for me to read this post, and it’s only because of your kids. I sympathize with you. Three times is ridiculous, but it’s become the common theme. I got out of the Marine Corps, because I knew I would be deployed all of the damn time, and my son is more important to me. I didn’t want to miss him growing up.

Anyway, good luck. I’m sorry that you have to go back, but since you do, kick some ass man. The money’s always good, but it’s just not worth all of the precious time lost. You’ll be in my thoughts during the games.
