I would have to think

this was some of Gene’s thinking going into draft day. Top picks often hold-out, they had room to leverage an O lineman.

If there is one thing that shouldn't happen in this off-season

it’s another 1st round holdout. The Jags CAN deal with it, but it will undoubtedly lead to locker room dissension. The front office needs to put every effort into signing Monroe and Britton and both need to be in camp. I don’t want to imagine a Harvey -like situation (times 2) breaking out on our O-Line this season.

I think Tra being here...

will be an impetus for Monroe to sign prior to camp. The Jags have the upper hand in this situation.

Monroe doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to holdout,

He’s at a premier position, he’s young, and he’s a top ten pick. So i’d be shocked if it happened.

Thanks John

I think The jags will doi anything to avoid the holdout. Monroe is a secure player for years for this team. Plus there was no “shopping spree” in free agency.
But anyway Thosmas is a quality backup, so I have little worries abou that.

Thanks for the articles, I not seen 4 of them. Articles like these is needed on a double in dead zone!

remember Monroe has a rookie agent who is one of the "good guys"

they went to college together or something. I wouldn’t worry about it
