Groves and Ingram Key to the 3-4
I thought I was the only thinking what JDR says in the article about making Ingram and Groves the outside guys. I also liked the idea of having Groves be the spinner. I wonder if we will see some bear fronts with him in the middle. He may be small, but he he is really stout going head up against a blocker. It's his lateral integrity where he struggles.

i think groves is up to 275
and i still think that this 34 stuff is overblown but we will see it at least situationally and groves standing up in interesting to think about

I don't think
it will be huge for us, but it is interseting especially for talk and speculation for the offseason. And now we are hearing it from JDR for confirmation.
I think this news is a little different from what most people have been saying. I liked Ingram as an OLB, and apparently the coaches do too. The same goes for Groves being a spinner.
i think if groves can be a little more patient then he will dominate from any position
i can’t get that picture of Mathis’ shoulda been pick 6 out of my head
groves jumped waaaay too early and the play was void, it was exciting though
it may have been against Bengals. Actually, i think it was and that it was the drive where 85 scored on Mathis, which was a well placed ball by Fitzpatrick

Well techniquely
a spinner is a S/LB hybrid. But obviously Groves is more of a blitzing safety/LB or a DE/LB hybrid(Generally called a quick), with roaming capabilities. So he’s kind of a S/LB/DE. He could even be called a deathbacker, who is someone that just does own thing looking to search and destroy. Though I don’t think he has that kind of freedom yet. It takes a lot smarts, experience, trust and communication to be that kind of player.
