My Lions pick up Milford Brown and Calvin Lowry

It seems Mr. Harris is turning Detroit into Jacksonville North. I saw that Brown started at Guard the first four games of 2008 for the Jags then was cut November 24 after warming the bench for five games. Any comments on how he did? I am guessing you guys were tight for O Linemen after losing the two very early. And Lowry was picked up in mid December for unknown reasons. Did he even get on the field?

I would like to think that we are picking up some gems here but I am somewhat sceptical. Sounds like my Lions are hurting at Safety. Hey didn't we trade a Safety to the Jags? We would ask for him back but Northcutt looks to be our second best WR.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Well northcutt is going to be a bright spot at WR

If you were 0-16 but he was okay for us when we were a sad team. We trading for your last years 2nd round pick who was injured a little badly.

Sorry I couldn't

help but laugh when I read your post title. Brown is a big guy that can be a good wall. He’s really good at that actually. But as soon as there are any line splits he can get dominated. He’s just not very good in space especially on the second level.

Lowry IMO is a bum. He’s slow reacting and slow getting to speed. He’s also not physical at all.

Thanks, I hope these guys are mainly warm bodies for camp.

However, we seem to have been hit with injuries at the Safety spot this camp and might be in desperation mode. Brown is a little bit of a head scratcher. We did lose a starting[?] Guard to the IR, but I thought they had some other bodies to slot in.

I have a feeling that the Lions will be picking up some late cuts in September. Its a long hard road back to respectability.

Det is more respectable that "Big Money, Fast Boys" Davis at Oak

You have calvin johnson, thought it took you a couple years to get a really good Wr in the first round :(
