Favre to Sign with Vikings
Unrelated to the Jags, but the Vikings have reportedly signed with the Vikings. Chris Mortensen estimates the deal is worth between $10 to $12 million. There is a news conference scheduled for 6 PM EST.
I know most of us are disappointed about the exhibition last night by the Jags, but remember, it could always be worse. The Brett Favre drama continues.
Why do I think that Brad Childress is gone at the end of this year?

Yeah man.
Will this create an alternate reality a la Back to the Future 2? One in which there are two Adrian Peterson’s (the good one), and the Vikings always wins the Superbowl? Who knows, but god I hope not. Maybe I can divide by zero over there.
ditto
A few years ago when he lead the Packers to the NFC Championship I was all for him making the superbowl but now I just find him annoying and overrated. His constant in and out routine over the last 3 years has not only made me sick of him, but also sick of watching sportcenter or ESPN because every time he even thinks about coming back I have to sit through 2 hours of Brett Favre analysis and highlights that I have seen a thousands times. I truelly hope Favre really retires soon because I dont know if I could handle another few years of Brett Favre hokey pokey.

Dude
It’s not that crazy. He just loves football and doesn’t know when to quit. Yeah, it’s annoying, and I’m not even a Brett Favre fan, but it is what it is.
I agree.
What I do find annoying is the endless coverage, the intense scrutiny of every word from Favre, and the exhaustive spectulations. I was honestly waiting for ESPN and NFL Network to publish stats on Favre’s vowel usage in press conferences as it relates to the possibility of his return.
Rod Woodson: “Brett Favre used seventeen vowels in the fourth sentence of today’s press conference. As history shows, Favre’s return percentage is only behind Joe Montana and Kerry Collins at 47%.”
Rich Eisen: “He is in some elite company there.”
Kara Henderson: “That’s slightly less than half, and slightly more than 45%.”
Warren Sapp: “Jibber-jabber, I kill ’em all. Doughnuts. Wharrgarbl. Heh, heh, heh.”
yeah, but that's press man. Look at when Anna Nicole Smith died or MJ
They know it keeps people watching…although I think I’ve turned the channel everytime I hear them talk Brett Favre now.
Who thinks they have a SB shot?
The Vikings?
Until they get a proven QB who can throw and not screw up, no. If percy harvin becomes a weapon maybe. Adrian Peterson isn’t going to get them there alone.

Strange
Kinda of odd but I find it surprising that none of the sports news have even talked about him this year.
(Yes I’m being sarcastic)
I don't understand how a first ballot Hall of Famer is overrated, but since you said I'll go with it....
I don't think he's over-rated, I think people just don't care anymore
Just get him to retire for a couple years, get him into the HOF and be done with it. Maybe see him a couple times a year in Wrangler commercials.

Doesn't He
Like have the most career interceptions of any quarterback?

Which QB does everyone think will get cut from the Vikes?
They currently have Favre, Sage Rosenfels, Tarvaris Jackson, and John David Booty.
Jackson
And when they cut him, I want the Jags to get him…
