Around SBN: 2012 Budweiser Shootout Entry List Released

Surprise, surprise

Quarterback Mark Brunell, 38, looks as if he'll be back for a 17th season and that he'll retain his job as Brees' top backup. The former Jacksonville Jaguars starter is said to be ahead of Joey Harrington for the No. 2 job. Payton said it is a competition between Brunell and Harrington, but Brunell took most of the second-team snaps and was more accurate than Harrington with throws at nearly every level.

Just something I read which brought back good memories and a feeling that it's nice to see that one of the Jaguars greatest players is still doing well after a long, long career.

i’ll take Brunell for a one year deal. well, i mean the Jaguars should take Brunell. I don’t need him unless he’s also a mechanic that can work on a great ’95 Ford Ranger

Eh, that would just be inviting trouble

If we brought back Brunell, everyone and their mom would want him to be the QB

i think my mom would want chuck norris as Qb for some reason… he probably cant throw with NFL accuracy, but he could kick some butt on the way to the endzone

He's the

one man wildcat. He’ll snap the ball to himself and then score a TD every time….And he only goes for 2 on PAT.

I still have my second Brunell jersey.

The first one I wore so much it became unrecognizable.
