Wilford Again!
I just heard on 1010XL that the Jags have today re-signed Ernest Wilford.
I just wanted to share this "scoop" with my new friends here at Big Cat. Is our WR corps more injury depleted than we know? Is it over for Mike Walker...IR perhaps?....Have there been too many drops to save one of our rookies? I had such high hopes for the future for our new wide receivers, and now this? Couldn't we have waited for final cuts to find another young addition rather than revert back to same ole same ole?
What are your thoughts?

Jaguars bring back Wilford
(AP) – 18 minutes ago
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed Ernest Wilford, giving him a chance to make the roster as a tight end.
Wilford, a fourth-round draft pick by the Jaguars in 2004, left Jacksonville after four seasons and signed a lucrative deal with Miami.
The Dolphins, who gave him $6 million guaranteed, terminated his contract Monday, Miami’s biggest free-agent bust in the Bill Parcells regime.
Wilford caught just three passes for 25 yards last season. He moved from receiver to tight end this year and had a 33-yard touchdown reception against Jacksonville’s reserves in the preseason opener. He had no catches in the second preseason game.
Jacksonville’s fifth-round draft pick, tight end Zach Miller, missed practice last week with a knee injury.

I am excited
This is good news. He may not make the team, but he will learn the playbook and be ready. If he makes it, great. A pass catching TE is a novelty

But I'm not a fan of the signing yet

Maybe he will help with info on the Dolphins...
for when we play them for real in the regular season. His past chemistry with Garrard is a plus.
Sounds like something the Patroits would do
Then lets do it :)

In Gene we trust
This is a pretty good move I think, hell I don’t even know why we released him in the first place. Either at TE or WR I think he will be a good addition.
